Hello all you wonderful people,

Well it is true that bplo needs your love. We entered the today fm Ian Dempsey 'beat the original' competition only not to get shortlisted. However rather than wallow in sorrow we decided to share our version with our internet friends who have been denied hearing it on the airwaves.
So have a listen, love it, hate it, be mildly bemused - it's up to you. Please feel free to share your thoughts with us, maybe answer why...WHY, why they didn't love us.

Here you go. bplo's version of Thin Lizzy's 'Don't Believe a Word'.

After a busy year of recording, gigging and even
appearing on film, all seven members of The Brad Pitt
Light Orchestra
are bringing their individual sound to
the theatrical surroundings of The Belltable Arts
Centre
on Thursday June 7th. A new experience for
loyal followers of the band (quite commonly referred
to as the bplo for mouthful purposes) as they adapt
their live show to the theatre and a unique
opportunity for those who might not have had the
chance to see them before.
Grabbing the attention of Ray D'Arcy and Tom Dunne,
The Brad Pitt Light Orchestra have enjoyed national
airplay on Today Fm and Lyric Fm. With their unique
sound of distinctive harmonies and rousing melodies,
critics have likened it to early Divine Comedy and
sober Tom Waits. Practically all of the band hail from
Limerick – apart from one token Galwegian. A very
different night at the theatre and a feast for music
lovers, this is quite likely the best way to hail the
start of the summer. Thursday June 7th, doors at 9pm,
for further information call The Belltable Arts Centre
at 061 319866.

Ann is going to perform the most stripped down bplo gig in bplo history. Representing the 7 strong light orchestra with nowt but a voice and guitar she'll be lending support on Friday May 4th in Upstairs Riddlers to Norma Lowney who is fundraising to go to India and do nice things for the locals.. Lasting no longer than 15 mins and making way for the likes of Vertigo Smyth, Ann's a wee bit nervous but happy of the challenge to do Davey's songs justice.

Click on the following site to have a look at the bplo doing a late night gig in a flat in Limerick. It's part of a short film called Tryptich in whcih they featured with Vertigo Smyth and Windings. They're down three members and hilariously Ann is playing bass.
