Well gang, In 48 hours I'll be on a plane to Barcelona to play at "los oXcars'. A celebration of digital culture and copyleft management rights. I'll admit to being a little nervous. Aside from Canada and Mexico, I've never been outside of the US. I'm really banking on Barcelona being touristy enough that many of the locals speak English. I'll get plenty of video and you'll be able to see it all when I get back. Don't feel like waiting? You can watch the festivities live via interweb @ http://exgae.net/los-oxcars/streaming The show starts at 8:30 PM Barcelona time, 2:30 PM Eastern Time. I should be on around 9:30 PM BT/ 3:30 PM ET. There will be tons of other acts and plenty of software demonstrations too. It looks like it's gonna be crazy.

Hey everybody, It's been quite awhile since I've been on Myspace and boy, have things changed. All these apps and newfangled widgets you kids are using. Why I remember when myspace Tom and his boys were robbing the stage coach from Tombstone…err…ok, I'm gonna' stop that now. So lately, I've been working on a bunch of short films with The Slow Mutants (myspace.com/slowmutants). You can check 'em out there on the left side O' the screen on the main page. I warn you though, they are not G rated. Just ask ole' Teddy Breuziski, he wrote the book on swearing. On the music front, I will be playing a few songs at Los oXcars in Barcelona, Spain, on October 28th, while living on a diet of Sangria and Absinthe. It's hosted by Conservas and EXGAE, two orginizations who are very concerned about Internet rights. I'm really looking forward to the culture shock I'm about to face. Don't worry, I'll have my camera and I'll be getting lots of video, so you should be able to see plenty of the awkward moments. For more info on the oXcars check out http://exgae.net/exgae-multiply-and-share-forth/theoxcars

Hello again, Some of you may be wondering "what's ever become of Brent?" Well I'll tell ya. My buddy Deight Henson (from " The Yars") and I have started our own video production company Lo2No Productions. Our first effort was the Space Camp Music Video. You may have seen that one already. If not then why? Why?!?!?! Check out the drummer, he's pretty cute...errr Now, we've just finished up our second piece. Dead and Buried Music VideoIf you like sick; twisted, dark, comedy then you should be in for a treat. If not, then you may want to watch it and complain. Please do. So most of my efforts have gone into video production. I headed out to Chuck's Steakhouse in Akron to play a show recently, but it got cancelled when someone got shot. I'm not even joking. Some poor bastard took a round to the torso before I even got to play. He lived, (mustav been a small caliber) but he wasn't real happy. Maybe I'll stick to video production...seems safer.

A while ago I received an e-mail informing me about the Music Nation video contest in association with Epic Records. I didn't think too much of it at first, seeing as I had no idea of what I would do. A couple weeks later, while taking a shower...I do that sometimes, an idea hit me. How cool would it be to have multiple me's running around in space? I approached my friend Dwight with the idea and he jumped on it. We made some story boards and it was off to the races. By the time everything was ready, we found ourselves with 10 days until the contest deadline. My procrastinatory experience came into play with a vengeance. With a (VERY) minimal budget we began what become a week long experiment in sleep deprivation. Here's the link if you wanna check it out: http://musicnation.com/vc95So give it a rating (hopefully a 5) and you'll help boost my chances of winning the deal with Epic Records. You gotta sign up to vote I think, but it looks like people aren't having a problem with that yet, so do what you gotta do. Rock!

Current mood: confused
Well here is my first post in a long time. Don't worry, I didn't die. I wasn't horribly maimed by a sea lion, causing the loss of my hand; nor did my plane crash on some strange island where I had to enter a number sequence to prevent some horrific magnetic disturbance from destroying the world.
I did drop off the face of the Earth though. Why?
To be honest, everything was a little overwhelming. Still is. When this started (with the Brentumentary) I looked at it as little more than a silly little project. I considered my musical "career" to be over. The band I was in (Bellevue) had broken up and I started going back to school. When our "silly little project" exploded it was totally sweet at first, but then people started to look at me as a role model and proclaim me to be "God like". Trust me, I'm neither.
I'm not some superhero. I've never saved anyone's life, or taken a bullet for my country. I'm just a guy with a keyboard. I don't feel comfortable being elevated to a position I'm simply not worthy of. Besides, my music has always been for me. I play for my own entertainment not to make people happy.
I don't mean to sound ungrateful, I'm not. I really do appreciate all the support everyone has given, but I'm nothing special. I'm no better than anyone else.
That being said, I'm still going to continue making music...at my own pace. I am working on a soundtrack for a documentary, so you can expect more from me, but I can't say anything more about that right now.
Already people have asked when the next album is coming. I don't know. I don't know if I'll even make another album. I feel like I'm in limbo. Part of me enjoys the spotlight and the perks, while the rest prefers the peaceful anonymity of the past.
So now you're up to speed. I wish I knew what happens next.
Brent
