Hey all,

Just another update for everyone.

We have now put 2 previews of the songs we will be officially releasing some time shortly after the new year!!! The first one is our song 'Night on Fire' which im sure alot of you know already from our gigs. This is the song that we have chosen to released as our first official single and thats why we have only been able to put a preview of the song on our page. And secondly is our cover of Free's 'Wishing Well' which has went down extremley well at our gigs. We are planning to release this also as either a double A-side or for 'Wishing Well' to be the B-side for 'Night on Fire'. Both songs were recorded at the Foundry Music Lab in Motherwell and have been produced by Sandy Jones (former producer of Wet Wet Wet). In addition to the 2 songs that have been previewed on our page we have put up the full version of our song titled 'The Road' which again we're sure some of you's will recognise from our gigs. We all hope you's enjoy

As far as the gig scene goes we have a few gigs coming up before the new year. The first one is a gig in Stereo (Glasgow) on the 20th of November where we will be supporting a band who are launching their single. We hope as many people as possible show up to this gig as it should be a full house on the night but we only have a limited amount of tickets. Should make for a great night.  Get in touch soon if you are interested. The following night we are playing in Box (Glasgow)

Thats all for now folks but keep on visiting the Myspace for regular updates (which we will be posting) As theres some exciting news coming in the future.

Continued Thanks

It's not every day you get to share a stage with one of the biggest and greatest bands to ever have played. Also thanks to their fans who gave us a great reception and even went so far as to tell us on numerous occasions how much they enjoyed our music and that we were the best band they have seen supporting Wishbone Ash in a long time! high praise indeed, eh?

Then came the weekend!! A Full weekend of recording has let us produce some of our best work to date, i think you will all agree when you hear it! So far all the initial feedback we have had has been nothing but positive so watch this space for a little taster of the new tracks and as always we have a few other things going on in the background which we will be revealing to you in the near future!!

ROCKBURN GIG REVIEW AT TANNONCHSIDE MINORS

- Review by Richard Mooney, ICscotland

These boys from Bellshill are definitely going places...

Who are they?

They are a 4-piece rock band from Bellshill, Lanarkshire and were formed in 2005.

What's their music like?

It's old school rock and roll here folks, with a mix of blues and unrestricted writing. These guys don't hold back in their lyrics. Basically they are catchy, captivating and blooming good fun. A breath of fresh air.

Are they any good?

Yeah, they definitely have potential. Their local papers support them and the turn out for their gig was pretty impressive. Everyone was dancing towards the end of their set.

What to expect from them?

Classic Rock n' Roll, but with a 21st century twist. They are relentlessly working towards higher plateaus and will most definitely get their if they keep this kind of performance up.

"70's influenced Rockburn work hard, putting out amazing tunes again and again. But with bags full of energy and catchy melodies to boot, Rockburn are firmly in the 21st century and here to stay''

- Dicelines Promotions & Management

Lanarkshire band Rockburn combine blues and rock, resulting in a host sassy, catchy and utterly fabulous tuneage.

Complete with punchy drums and clean-cut riffs, the velvety drawl of the vocals only add to the attraction of this band.

Counting their influences from Fleetwood Mac to Nirvana, it is evident this band possess an eclectic taste in music, which is noticeable in each song.

"Red Dress" a blues-esque, rock ballad filled with great vocals and intricately simple guitar riffs, this song is fast and furious and totally infectious.

"Just to Pass the Time" lulls the listener with a soft intro, then launches into a fantastic rapturous chorus.

Think of a cross between a film soundtrack and a contemporary blues band.

Rockburn are an immense talent, oozing potential for the future.

Get to their profile for gig dates, news and most importantly, to hear this mega talented four-piece for yourself.

ROCKBURN ARE TO HAVE THEIR DEMO PLAYED AT ANFIELD AT LIVERPOOL V NEWCASTLE GAME AT HALF TIME. KNOWING THE KOP FOR BEING QUICK TO EXPLOIT A CATCHY TUNE AND ADOPT IT AS ITS OWN ANTHEM, I AM SURE ROCKBURNS TRACK WILL GET THEM THINKING, TWEEK THE LYRICS AND IT COULD GO LIKE THIS "SO COME ON COME ON AND GET YOUR RED KIT ON AND DON'T TELL US THAT IT WONT BELONG NOW, WE'VE GOT THE FIGHT AND THE RIGHT FOR MORE, WE'VE GOT A VOICE THAT YOU CAN'T IGNORE, SO COME ON COME ON" (REPEAT) INTERESTING INNIT. SEE WHAT YOU THINK HAVE A LISTEN ON OUR PLAYER. ONE THINGS FOR SURE IT WILL UPLIFT THE CROWD AT HALF TIME
