here is a poem I wrote on a cold night in march-
Songs of Pain
I've always known the truth
It crashed into me like a wall of invisible bricks moving at light speed
I never saw - I've never needed to see
It wouldn't hurt but it wouldn't help me
You may think I've had it easy but truth to say - I sail with everyone else
I sleep at night as the birds and take flight with the shame
Songs of sorrow - songs of pain - melodies that bring me to frozen tears in the midst of my apathetic purgatory of unknown fame
I wait on God to quicken the pace - take me home - breathe me grace - call me by another name - take away the songs of pain
We all cry together - inside or exterior
None are superior
We fear the numinous - fear the unknown
It's all choking smoke
Smoking jokes
The sky has fallen and we're drowning in its blues
We can find the reasons two by two - before the birds turn in
Wings of sorrow
Songs of pain
Melodies that freeze the rain
