Current mood:  vexed
Yeah right, from tomorrow on there will, if not miracles happen tonight (and they rarely happen for Ancestral Legacy) not be any regular homepage for the band. This is due to several factors, I'll explain it roughly. We had a Canadian webhost for many years who was just like a dream, everything worked (unless I myself fucked up), payment was easy and servers were reliable. Then, last year, the services was taken over by a company from the glorious United States, and the crap began. First there were some fuck-ups that prevented all our mp3's on the page to be downloadable, this was due to a image file which had the wrong name! And this file I didn't know even was there, and if so it had been there for a long time causing no trouble.

Later, when the annual payment was due, I thought this was piece of cake, but how wrong I was. I had to fill in credit card information, should be an easy thing, but my address info didn't match the one that is valid now, so I tried to change that, but this was impossible. There were also no option to fill in country, so maybe we were the only foreign customers? Also we had to choose which US state we live in, which is none, and there were no option for that. SO I tried to fax them a scheme they had on their page. The fax number was without any international prefix, another proof that they only have national customers. Well, this wasn't the hardest to add, but when the fax was scanned I only got a message that it couldn't be delivered.

I COULD have sent a mail or contact billing about the matter, but when all the options I tried, failed, I feel they've got enough chances in delivering decent service. I don't know when we have the site up again, and if we can keep the domain name. We can only wait and see.

Oh, and the card information they have is now invalid, as the card was closed today, the case is that I used it in Spain earlier this year, and there has been a severe card information theft around there. So even if our webhost had plans on draw the money on the expiry date (tomorrow), it won't happen. How bloody fantastic.

Have a nice week everybody!

Current mood:  frustrated
After the successful gig at the Mølla festival we're back to reality. The album probably won't have it's official release until January, that's two years after it was finished and simply f****g annoying. Secondly our regular homepage had some sort of "upgrade" from our supplier, and now it doesn't work at all when I try to upload pictures and stuff, and more or less none of all the mp3's we have for download there won't work either. So THANK YOU SO F****G MUCH FOR UPGRADING US BACK TO THE STONE AGE!

That was just about it, over and out for now.

Current mood:  hopeful
A few of you may be disappointed since you've heard the song already on the "A World Of Sirens" compilation released by Sirenette last year. Anyway, this is the first track from Nightmare Diaries that appears on our Myspace page, and I thought it was just about time since the album's been from 1/2 up to 1 year delayed, depending on how you look at it. The CD will be printed in not too many weeks time hopefully, and released this Autumn through Femme Metal records. Hope you like the song!

Sadly we can't participate at the first edition at Femme Metal fest in Southend / London. The reason is beyond our control, but has to do with the fact that the festival is moved from May 2010 till November this year. Anyway we wish Caz and her crew the best of luck with the arrangement! And the headliner is now revealed, the fantastic Delain from Holland!

I've uploaded all tracks from our first four demos, "Ancestral Legacy" (2000), "Emptiness" (2002), "Of Magic Illusions" (2003) and "NOvember" (2003) in good quality to our homepage www.ancestrallegacy.com Also a few songs from the Permafrost days, recorded in 1996 and 1997, total necro crap sounding! He he. 35 songs all in all, and a few more from more recent times will be up soon. So go check them out, hope you enjoy them.

Since Myspace now allows up to 10 tracks in the player we of course have to fill it up with some stuff. A bunch of songs from our older demos from 2000 - 2004, most of them you'¨ll also find as free downloads in our homepage www.ancestrallegacy.com as well as many others. Hope you like them. :)

2008 ends in the best possible way for Ancestral Legacy as we now can announce that we have signed with Femme Metal Records!

FM records is a new UK based record label, not surprisingly focusing on metal bands featuring female vocalists. Other bands on the label so far are Soulgrind, AraPacis and Brave. Check out the label's
MySpace
page www.myspace.com/femmemetalrecordsuk or regular website; www.femmemetalrecords.com

Our debut album "Nightmare Diaries" will be out on FM records later this Winter or early Spring.

Today we got some brand new t-shirts and hoodies, and we now also have our webshop up and running, check out what we have to offer! Also made a little band section on our regular homepage so you can see who actually plays in Ancestral Legacy.
