What a void we have in the human struggle with the passing of Sen. Ted Kennedy. I feel a jolt of reality. It isn't up to one individual to change the course of humanity. I have to do what it is only I know I'm here to do. And it may not always be popular. His legacy is addressing the human condition...whether popular or not. Camille

Ever since I've been chanting Nam-myoho-renge-kyo and soaking up guidance from SGI president Daisaku Ikeda.....there was one concept he talked about that has resounded in my mind. Life is a series of moments. How we respond to the crucial moments we are faced with.....is really the sum of our character. He went on to talk about the cowards who donned wigs to get on life rafts on the sinking Titanic.....to look like women who were saved first along with children.....that was indeed their true character emerging at that crucial moment. Never-mind what they had accomplished in life up to then....that was their true nature emerging. Yesterday I had the oppportunity to chant and dialogue with Mr. Kay Yoshikawa...our Arts division leader.....along with the fab Lisa and Don Mattesons. Mr. Yoshikawa had personally heard that guidance from Pres. Ikeda at the SGI headquarters in LA.....along with Matilda Buck and Tina Turner who was in town performing. When he mentioned Tina I sat up straight. He said Pres. Ikeda took them upstairs in a room and began talking about the Titanic. This was so impactful hearing my mentor's guidance relayed so vividly.....from the source. Chanting Nam-myoho-renge-kyo roots out the fundamental darkness in our lives to raise our life condition to it's highest most unshakeable state. Hearing this guidance.....again.....has challenged me to root out my own complacency with mediocre existence....it's too close to that black hole of low life condition and darkness. It was truly an honor to be able to receive this vivid reminder of why I chant from Mr. Yoshikawa....and to challenge myself to strengthen my life..... my foundation....wayyy more!!!!!! Camille

My special and dear friend, Sharda, recently bestowed a gift upon me - an amazing poem she wrote just for me. I was so moved by her love and compassion for my life - I was in tears after reading it. And re-reading it. I was also in disbelief that a person had that much regard for me - my struggles, victories, pain or joy. People who genuinely CARE are not easy to come by. Not easy.  I feel I have so much fortune to have a friend like Sharda.

Sharda is a lover of life, an avid music lover - a beautiful spirit. I'll share her beautiful gift with you.

My Friend Camille
by Sharda 1/13/07

She marches to the tune
That plays within her soul
Always moving forward
And never letting go

She looks back on the past
Old memories lying there
Time spent with family
And love that they shared

She awakens to the day
And sees a new beginning
Her future in her grasp
Promise there just waiting

Without fear she moves on
Undaunted by life's test
And reaching for the stars
Always giving it her best

This poem is the property of Camille

And what exactly are the MySpace Music Awards?

It begins right here. Not being one to wait for anyone - I am not a follower - I want to see a venue on here for Artists such as myself who won't be stepping out on the red carpet at the Grammys but are equally as deserving.

I am overwhelmed by the GREAT talent here that is overlooked for whatever reasons. Much of it is lack of exposure.

This is the kick-off towards developing this group and with your in-put and help we can utilize the exposure potential of MySpace to recognize some REALLY deserving talent!!!! So please join today and let's do this OURSELVES!!!
