Yes Steve & Barry's is Harassing my Official BLOG PLEASE comment on my OFFICIAL BLOG and support Indie Fashion Bloggers from corporate bullying and harassment!!! THANKS FOR YOUR HELP GUYS! Much love, Glendy <3 I wrote an article yesterday summarizing the top and not so hot celebrity fashion lines ( see my post), using WWD's article: The Celebrity Clothing Game published Oct. 2, 2008 as a source . Now the article focused on major celebrity fashion lines and not so successful lines. It seems that a reader disliked my comment about Steve & Barry's Sarah Jessica Parker's line Bitten. Now I don't know about you guys but although WWD mentioned that Steve & Barry was getting out of BANKRUPCY , "But still, the chain's financial woes prove that celebrity lines don't necessarily mean huge volume, no matter how cheap the prices are." Perhaps, this means that celeb collabo's didn't help the chain succeed including SJP's clothing line. I remember the Bitten line and I was very excited when it hit stores, however I was disappointed and don't get me wrong I love Sarah Jessica Parker, she's my icon but honestly the clothes were lacking the "it" factor and well looked, cheap. The store at the Manhattan Mall in New York City seemed gloomy and filled with tourists not fashionistas. I recall asking for help looking for a size and an associate just brushed me off (an overworked high schooler). Now I want to reiterate that yes, these are all my opinions, this is my blog, this is freedom of press and I will comment based on my perspective and I will not suck up to anyone. I am a member of Independent Fashion Bloggers therefore I do not get paid to write cheeky comments to anyone, with this said an "anonymous" reader got really fed-up when I mentioned that the SJP line didn't help much to get the company out of bankruptcy. I am not a financial observer or Steve & Barry's follower or best friend to say the least but although they had to close most of their stores VERY FEW remained open . The person who commented on my post seemed offended by my statement, so I decided to look up the I.P address since I wanted to thank this person for taking the time to read and comment on my post, but I was shocked to find out it was from STEVE & BARRY's corporate office!!! Check out the info below, BTW thank you for spending 45+ mins reading my blog it means a lot ;)Thank you SitemeterIP Address 69.74.131. You really should look up actual facts before posting. Celebrity lines, especially SJP's Bitten brand, is the main reason why Steve & Barry's survived and came out of bankruptcy. S&B has a hard time keeping enough Bitten inventory on the shelves. Based on this high demand of Bitten product, we can see that your comments are strictly personal and not based on what the consumers really want. Your "about me" statement should really read: Fashion like art, is an expression of ideas, culture and beliefs, reflecting "MY" evolution and the state of "MY" mind. Great work! This was their second commend from A.K.A. ( hh066: AOL) (P.S. I deleted the comment from the previous post since I wanted to add his comments to this new article and he got FURIOUS) Wow, so you also censor and delete people's comments when they call you out on your errors? Why don't you at least reply or do the right thing and update your post to reflect the truth instead?I l ove it, can you believe the Chief Operating Officer or a Steve & Barry's corporate employee is actually picking a bone with me, now Gary, Aka Truth, Aka hhoj66 . If you believe I'm misinformed please feel free to e-mail me and post a comment on a manner where my readers and I will be informed rather than forming a personal attack, I believe in being respectful and having a respectful community, so please stop harassing my blog and keep the personal attacks to a minimum. Your comments are a reflection of your company and many of my readers will be or were your costumers. Thank you for the comments, and yes I know I'm doing a great job, I'm trying my best to express my own ideas and views, I am not owned by a corporation nor I intend to be. I apologize my views do not reflect your own but this is MY blog and I am entitled to moderate it as I please. Kind regards,Glendy Please comment on my OFFICIAL BLOG, Thanks for the support :)

What were you wearing on 1989? Hey Guys check out my latest Blog post entry, :) In the South Bronx back in 1989, Salt N' Peppa along with L.L. cool J were blasting from boom boxes at every corner. The abandoned buildings and empty lots with burned cars were a common sight and not to mention it was the height of the crack cocaine epidemic. The streets were gloomy, the summers sweltering but I still recall the bright colors, the eye popping neon greens, yellows and African inspired prints, think Fresh Prince of Bel Air, early Queen Latifa and old school TLC.
I was only 8 years old, but I had my wayfarers, bright tights and of course my hi-top sneakers. The bright colors were a common sight at my block and whether a trend or not I saw it as something more than a fashion fad, to me it symbolized happiness, a bright outlook among the crackheads, desolated streets and poverty. The runway shows for Spring 2009' were bland and boring, with the exception of Rodarte, Micheal Kors and Marc Jacobs there really wasn't much to say about fashion week, check out my review!

Denisse Guerrero is the lead singer of Mexican pop band Belanova, she has a unique style mixing eclectic pieces with cute accessories and chic attention to detail. She certainly stands out from the typical pop songstress and always pushes the envelope with her wardrobe, she has been seen hanging out at cool hip venues in London and has appeared on facehunter for her unique fashion. I have been a fan of Belanova since 2005 and LOVE their music. I have always admired Denisse, she doesn't look like any girl I had ever seen in Latin America, although her clothes get a lot of attention she doen't resort to the usual "Latin pop princess" scheme of wearing micro clothing to reveal an exaggerated amount of breasts and booty. I absolutely love her music and fashion sense! What do you guys think? This is one of my favorite Belanova videos check it out and listen to their tunes via Imeem ;) .. I was invited yesterday by Kristen May Anastasia of Angel Lust to her fashion week Spring 09' press release party at Pop Lounge. Kristen is the talented designer behind the beautiful headpieces that are now featured in the WB's hit show Gossip Girl. I was amazed by the beautiful headbands, bows and pins, they are cute, chic with an uptown flavor. Her fantastic accessories can be found at Henri Bendel's, Revolve Clothing and her website Angel Lust. Check out the pics of the party and the Gossip Girl screen shots of Kristen's hair accessories, Enjoy! Thank you for the headband Kristen!!!
Absolutely cute and FIERCE!

I love gadgets and Swarovski's Active Crystals are amazing, last year SwarovskiPhillips combined jewelry and technology into pieces that are functional, fashionable and fun. in a collaboration with
The USB pieces are the best, I own a Crystal Heart Ware memory key since last year and I cannot live without it, its like having a locket but with a tech functionality, it's password protected, has 1G of memory space, it can store, files, music, pictures and can be worn as a cute necklace.p My Heart Ware In addition, your heart can be in pink or a clear crystal color. However, the only thing I would change about the Heart Ware is the weight, it's a bit heavy as a necklace and I wished the cord could be a real chain so it would look like fine jewelry and not a pendant. On the other hand, it seems Swarovski has perfected their USB's this year and has recently launched a light weight version of memory keys as little robot characters that can be worn as key-chains. These little guys "Robot Happy Laura" and "Robot Naughty Raymond" are cute and functional, they have 2G of memory space and are small enough to be carried everywehere. The UBS's are $180 and can be purchased on Swarovski's website, This would be a useful and wonderful gift for anyone special in your list!I am happy to see that finally someone is taping into the female and fashion market of tech gadgets, women are the largest users of digital cameras and cell phones, I have also noticed that many women are switching into the fashion/gaming world (stay tuned for my next report) it's about time someone is paying attention to our tech needs and realizes that women just as men can be tech savvy, I'm certainly a gadget geek! Who's with me?! For more check out my blog for daily updates and reviews,

My friend invited me and some of my co-workers to the K-spray tour at her boyfriends store ATMOS (Tokyo based- highly popular NYC store for sneaker and urban conoseiurs) The K-spray tour was featuring some grafitti and other artists such as Logan Hicks to showcase their work and collaboration with the sneaker company, it was an awesome party, filled with champagne, caviar, art, great dj and SNEAKERS!!! LMAO Check out the pics (logan blog) and the Video, I am on it for a mili-second, haha its so ghetto, lol.
I also met a guy from the store Bodega in Boston, *ahem* ;)
It's also another place for artists and sneaker freaks, it has a great concept Bodega Sneaker Store
Atmos pics!

Kai's Fashion show last Friday was great! The Kung_fu girls performed and MTV was there, Here are some freakin' blurry pictures, since my camera is so old and busted, however I would suggest visiting Bob Nittoli's website for better pics of the show. It was awesome to see my models Erin and Lindsey, my show coming up in March stay tuned ;)

I also want to say, if I ever catch the Mofo who stole my wallet they are f^%*(*% DEAD! I have never lost my wallet and I can't believe some jerk off took my stuff. >grrrrrr<
Much love, Glendy <3
