THE MARCH VIOLETS have announced a very special one off hometown gig
on Saturday 8th Dec at Leeds Metropolitan University.

The cult '80's Leeds' dark/gothic/punk drum machine band influenced by
Gang Of 4, Bauhaus, Joy Division, The Pop Group and other notable post
punk bands" and championed by the likes of John Peel are back for a
one off performance. The Violets found their own singular voice and
were a big part of the underground landscape before imploding in '86.
Strewn amongst the wreckage were two classic indie hits, Snake Dance
and Walk Into The Sun which still feature heavily in the darker dance
clubs.

After the show everyone gets to stay for an aftershow party till 3am,
with DJs from Leeds very own Wendy House providing the sounds in both
rooms. We hope you can be there, it should be one hell of a party.


Tickets are available from the Met, both online and at the Booking
Office, though the cheapest online outlet is at

of new material that will only be available at the gig.
