Hello friends and foes,

TONS o' news this month at chetzar.com.

First and foremost: FREE SHIPPING ON ANY ITEMS IN MY WEBSTORE THROUGH DECEMBER ANYWHERE IN THE UNITED STATES!  I am shipping within 24 hours of receiving all orders up until the week before Xmas, so order soon to make sure and get your goods in time for the holidays.

Ok, that was exciting. Now onto more news.

I have 3 new prints in the webstore: "Clown of Doom", a smaller more inexpensive version of  "I Want You"  and a new, larger edition of one of my fastest selling prints from 2002, "Mourner".

Get 'em all here: http://www.chetzar.com/oil_paintings/BUY.html

Other bits o' news:

A new company has just released their new Absynth beverage called "Elevation" in limited edition collectors bottles designed by various artists. I designed one of the bottles and you can get it here (but I don't think they ship to the U.S.-  Absynth is still illegal here):

I have a new painting called "Psychlops" for Mark Murphy's "Know " exhibition that opens this week at Charcoal Gallery for the Gen Art Vanguard Fair in Miami. You can find more info here:

"Psychlops"
10x10"
Oil on board

And that brings me to my next news item: The chetzar.com forums are back up and running thanks to my buddy Federico who is helping me run it. You can discuss art, music or just about anything else there. Plus, there is an "exclusive content" section for members only (membership is free, of course) where you can see stuff regarding my artwork that you can't see anywhere else, such as a step by step demo of "Psychlops" being created. There are lots of new members joining lately and the threads are really fun- lots of good information and links ..ing techniques, people sharing there work and asking all sorts of interesting questions. You can see it all here:

This weekend I am showing some work for 1 night only in L.A. at Hangar 51. It's a CD release party for the band Woven. Also playing is one of my favorite local bands, "Ninja Academy".

Just wanted to let folks know that the Chet Zar Forum is now back in effect. I have had this forum for a few years now but I have neglected it in the last couple.

My friend Federico helping me out attending to the forum's needs, so all questions will be answered. There is also a new exclusive content section where you can check out works in progress and other behind the scenes pics if you join up (for free, of course). You can also post artwork, promote your band, talk art or whatever to other Chet Zar fans. Check it out:

I am overwhelmed by the huge number of supportive messages and comments concerning the situation with my dog, Rambo. Thank you everybody. Your support has really helped my family and I through this difficult time.

Rambo died today. He was 12 years old and was recently diagnosed with cancer. I am very sad to see him go but happy that he is no longer suffering. He was truly the best dog I have ever had and we are going to miss him.

We adopted Rambo (his name from his previous owner that really didn't fit his sweet disposition) from a 24 hour pet adoption event put on by a local organization called For the Love of Animals Dog & Cat Rescue (I will be forever grateful for the great work they do for animals and for bringing Rambo and us together. Thanks go out  to Jo and Bailey Porter) He was a 7 year old Pit Bull mix and had been at the animal shelter for 6 months, so if he did not get adopted that night, he would have been put to sleep. Luckily for us, my older son Jeremy talked us into adopting him. It turned out to be on of the best decisions of our lives. Contrary to the reputations Pit Bulls have, Rambo was one of the most gentle and sweet dogs I have ever had and we really considered him a part of our family.

So that's the low down on Rambo. Thanks from my family and I to everybody for your kindness and support.

I miss him already.

Chet

Hello,

To celebrate my recent purchase of a new and larger format Giclee printer, I have added 5 new prints available in my webstore. All are printed on archival, thick 100% cotton rag, acid free Velvet Fine Art Paper using the same archival inkset. Each print is a Limited Edition and signed and numbered.

As always, my Giclee print prices are extremely reasonable. Many publishers offer similar print runs for more than 3 times the price, yet I am using the same printers, paper, inks and process. How do I do it? I print them myself! Why do I do it this way? To make art affordable!

So here they are:

"Black" is back by popular demand. This is the largest size of "Black Magick" I have ever offered on my webstore.

Here is a brand new edition of a piece that I have had many requests for. The "I Want You" Special Collectors Edition print is extra large and definitely imposing.
