So Sam and I have decided to start playing some music again and hopefully we'll be kicking this band off one more time and give it another shot. I can't tell you how much I miss playing music with all the bands we played music with and for those of you who listened to us and came to our shows, WE MISS YOU. All 2 of us now hah. We've gone thru some rough patches but dreams don't die so easily for Sam and I. Music is a passion we both will always share so why not indulge right? So we will indulge. And we will create music that will rock the very balls out of your pantalloons. So look forward to such things. In the mean time, I have a poppy little sideproject I've been working on so if you'd like to check that out, click here.

Thanks for hanging in there friends and we hope to start playin music for all you guys soon.

Peace out

So Jordan decided that the band wasn't for him right now SO we are looking for a bass player. We ask the same things out of you as we do our drummer, experience and commitment. If you are interested, shoot us a message and we'll talk! Thanks friends.

We are looking for a new drummer! We do have some prerequisites so please be sure to read this over carefully before shooting us a message and what not. Here are some things we would like out of our drummer:

- Commited. This is paramount. We want to make this band move and the only way this can happen is if all the members are like minded. You will need to be available to practice at least 2 times a week (currently mondays and wednesdays) and be flexible with schedules when it comes to weekend trips or mini-tours as I like to call them.

- Experienced. Andrew was good drummer, there was no about that. We want someone creative and experienced to be flexible to many styles of music. Double kick profeciency is HIGHLY preferred so if you can double kick someones face off, we want you. Experience means at least a drummer of 5 years (there can be exceptions) so keep this in mind. If you have any demos of you drumming, please IM me at m0rphineplz and I will give it a listen

Really when it comes down to it, these are the only things needed. Of course we want you to be a cool and what not but please, if you think you meet any of this criteria, send us a message or send me an IM at m0rphineplz. Thanks homies. Peace.

I regret to inform all you RG fans out there that i will be leaving the band. It has nothing to do with the other guys in the band. They are truly my best friends and mean the world to me. I am just at a place where i feel like it would be a better idea to pursue school rather than the band. Who knows, i could be back in the future. But as for now this is what i am supposed to do. I really do wish the guys the best of luck in everything they do with music because they are truly talented musicians. My last show will be at the loft so make sure you come check it out.

Sincerely,
Andrew Phillips

---

I can't begin to explain how I might feel about this but I'm not one to downtalk decisions. God knows that this is what I want to do for the rest of my life and it only seems to be getting harder as the people I've played music with so long are slowly walking off this road to persue different things.

I can assure you all that even with the loss, I will persue music with every ounce of life within me. Though change is on our horizon, obviously, this is where I will be and I'm not going anywhere. This couldn't have been more of a bigger bombshell then it was and I know everything sounded like it was perfectly ok in the passed 2 blogs that have been posted here. I was obviously wrong. I respect Andrew's decision, though I may hate it. But I'm here to stay and I will continue writing music for myself and others who can relate to it, whether someone tells me I'll get somewhere or not. Social stigma seems to tell me that a secure future is logical...because it is. But I will not be able to live with myself 30 years from now knowing that I didn't even try and logical or not, dreams will always be dreams unless you do something about it. Unless you work your ass off for it. I don't expect this to come on a silver platter or in a box on my doorstep, I'm prepared to work and that's what I plan on doing. Working to make me dream something that's real. I believe God stuck me on this planet for a reason, and I've been sure of it ever since I joined this band. I'm not stopping.

I am still going to finish the CD and I'm still going to persue the music we have written as Romancing Gloria. There's gonna be changes...I couldn't imagine how there could NOT be changes but hell, it happens. I'm going to finish this cd with more passion and drive than I could ever put forth and we will make this work. So still, expect things. I can't tell you all how much it means to me that you still stuck around thru all of this.

Please be at our show on the 23rd to say farewell to Andrew for this season. Maybe things will change as he said, you never know. Make this show our best ever and tell a friend. It would mean more than you could ever know if you were there to support us during this time. Thanks friends and I will talk to you all soon.

Justin from RG

P.S. If you have any questions at all, feel free to shoot them over and we will try and answer them as clearly as possible.

As some of you may have noticed, we've been a little bit in the dark. With all the changes and stuff going on, we've had to hit our reset button and basically start up from scratch. Our new bass player is catching on very quickly and is excited to get out there and rock along with the rest of us. After much poker was played and much money on my part lost, we have finally discussed our direction and we are freakin PUMPED to get back out there.

As for the record, we have just finished our sessions at Manhouse Studios with our buddy Shane and last up we have the vocals then mixing/mastering. We will be finishing the record with Danny Casler from National Product and his partner in studio crime Bret Hudzietz from the band Fiore. If you haven't yet checked out either band, I highly suggest you do. Both of them are kick boob awesome. There is no estimated date on this record only because we will be taking our time with it. We want this to sound like a legit full length album and not a 10 (11?) song demo BUT rest assured that as soon as we finish a track and we think it's ready for your listening pleasure, it will be up on the space in a heartbeat.

We are holding off on shows right now to focus on the record and also on getting Jordan accustomed to the ways of the RG. We will start to book shows as soon as we see fit and as for a time estimate, the end of March (which will also be our first ACTUAL show with Jordan as our new bassist and me as the new singer) is when we'll probably start booking every single show that comes our way. Look forward to some insane-rock-your-face-off-kick-sasquatch fusion that will be coming in your direction very soon.

Riddle me this though, trusy fans of RG, are you ready?
And now confusion sets over you because your wondering "is that actually a riddle?" Maybe it is, maybe it is not but that is not the question!

The question is are...you...ready?

There's a lot to this announcement so bear with me on this one. The reason we have posted a blog entitled "incredibly important announcement" is because some changes have occurred within the band. As of this week, Brian is no longer a part of Romancing Gloria. He left on his own terms and everything was totally mutual so no one got kicked out or anything.

The reason Brian left, and please note that I'm not Brian so this is paraphrased, but basically life happened. Sometimes you get thrown a curve ball and that's basically what happened with him. He's handling it and totally loves everything about this band and hates to leave it, but sometimes you don't have a choice. We all love brian dearly and he plans on still coming to the shows everyone once in a while so you'll still get to see him there. Heck maybe we can get him to come up and sing a song with us once in a while.

As for the rest of us, this year we are going to take this band as far as we can take it. This means much touring, and much rocking will be in order. I will be taking Brians place and we have added our good friend Jordan into the band to play bass for us. (Jordan was in Only For the Day for those of you who were around for them.)

We are all sad about Brians decision but we're really excited about what this band has in store for us in the future. We thank you guys for stickin with us thru this and we will continue writing the same music we love to play and the same music you guys have gone to our shows to listen to.

In other news, the full length album is almost finished. We are getting in our last studio sessions to finish off vocals than off to the press it goes and into your hands it will soon be. I'm not gonna lie to you, it sounds freakin rad. I'm way pumped on how its all turning out so get excited about that. We'll see if we can get a sample up sooner or later so you guys can get a taste. Again, we freakin love you guys and are excited to bring you more insane rock fusion.

Thank you for reading all of that! A lot to get in but we wanted to let you all know whatsup. Oh yeah and don't forget to support as at our battle of the bands on February 10th! WE NEED YOU GUYS TO BE THERE!!! It's gonna be an awesome show so don't miss out.

If you guys have any questions whatsoever, just shoot them over this way and we will answer whatever question you might have.

Thanks friends. Peace.

Justin and the rest of the RG crew.

Since our music has been going a completely different direction than what Kung Fu was, we are retiring the song. The song does not in any way represent the music we play, it is merely the music we used to play. We feel we have matured as musicians and have decided to leave what was a completely different bands music behind. You may be lucky enough to here at one of our shows, but it is only there where we will be playing that song, that is, if we decide to. We have plenty of other music that we are really excited about and hope that you may be excited about also.

For those of you who do not know, Kung Fu Lesson of Love was an Only For The Day song. OFTD was Brian, Andrew, and Sams old band. We have decided that since the music was written for and with another band, it is no addition to this band. We aren't killing the song but we have decided to remove so that people will not expect us to sound like what that song had represented. Again, we thank you for your understanding.

In other news, we have begun the process of recording our full length but we have absolutely no idea when it will be released. We are going to make each individual song a project in itself so that we may get the best of the best out of each track. So there's something to look forward to. In the meantime, enjoy our new videos!

If you haven't noticed, we have now made our songs available for you to download so take advantage of that kinish. Get pumped for a possible full length coming sometime in the future. We will let you know what's up. We've got a whole bunch of new material being cooked up and we're pushing to begin a pre-production for an LP. (sounds official doesn't it?)

Also, all of us wanna thank you for supporting us. You have no idea what it means to us to know that people actually enjoy the music we create so we just wanna say thank you for being as rad as you all are and thanks for coming to our shows! Haha. Keep on eating them turkey sandwiches and keep puppies alive, listen to RG. Keep it ill homies.
