Hi Everyone,

Just returned from a 3 week stint doing the day job in the States.  Bought some new records which I'm sure to be spinning out soon...  I've updated my gigs list once again to take in July and August...  Upcoming gigs to look out for in Madhatters include two really great Glasgow bands who I would recommend - The Hussys on 26 July and Le Reno Amps on 2 Aug.

But the big event in Hoots next month will surely be the annual "Grass Roots at Hoots" night on 6th Aug, in preperation for the Belladrum Festival.  Rob Ellen has assembled another excellent line up of talented acts from around the globe.  The final line up will be announced very shortly.  I'll be providing the incidental stuff inbetween bands and afterwards.  It's all a warm up for the Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival which starts officially the following night.

Just a quick note to mention I will be providing vinyl support to Big Vern & The Shootahs on Friday 28th March in The Venue at Oran Mor in the west end of Glasgow (Corner of Byres Road and Great Western Road).

Big Vern & The Shootahs are a well established and extremely entertaining blues and soul revue, with a great following throughout Scotland and indeed Europe!

I’ll be spinning some classic soul, funk & rythym & blues before and after the band so get along early, it’ll be a crackin’ night!

Doors open at 7pm.  Tickets are available from tickets scotland or ticketweb.

Hi All,

I decided to update my profile with a "gigs" section - so everyone knows when I’m DJing.  It’s really just to give people an idea of the bands who are lined up to play Hoots over the coming Saturdays but I have got a couple of gigs lined up elsewhere too.  I’ll try to keep this updated regularly but don’t count on it!
