I'm back from Europe and traveling to Los Angeles for my sister's wedding.
I'm sorry for being out of touch while gone.  My cellphone didn't work at all... not even just text messages like it did in Israel and Mexico.  I also didn't have any down time to access the internet.

I'll try to make it to the art murmor for a second tonight but I have stuff to get done before leaving in the morning.  I miss everyone and can't wait for a moment of non-crazy.
I should be back in Oakland within a week.

I'll write about the trip later.

I'm leaving the country for a couple weeks.  It seems like my cell phone usually can't take calls in other countries, but I'm usually able to get text messages.  So please text me or email me if you want to get in touch.

This is my last day here... i leave in the morning.

SATURDAY MARCH 14TH
***SILENT AUCTION For SWOON'S
The Swimming Cities of Serenissima
7pm to 3am
210 Kent Avenue Brooklyn, New York 11211 (at Metropolitan Ave)

fleet of three intricately hand-crafted vessels that will navigate the Adriatic Sea from the Karst region of Slovenia to Venice, Italy in May of 2009.  Designed by the artist SWOON, the floating sculptures are descendants of the Swimming Cities of Switchback Sea (Hudson River, 2008) and the Miss Rockaway Armada (Mississippi River, 2006 and 2007). The Swimming Cities of Serenissima are built from salvaged materials, including modified Mercedes car motors with long-tail propellers.  For Swimming Cities, SWOON will collaborate with 30 artists from the United States, including OBIE award-winning playwright Lisa D'Amour.  As the Swimming Cities move toward Venice, the crew will collect and install keepsakes in an ark-like cabinet of wonders that will be on display on the boats when they arrive.  Once in Venice, the boats and crew will offer intimate performances that incorporate music, shadow puppetry, and story.  The project is produced with the assistance of Deitch Projects, Paper Monster and Black Rat Press.

This weekend I did photography for Miguel From Oakland, a
short film docudrama about a Chicano searching for his cultural
identity in Mexico, that is to be shown at a film festival in TJ,
Mexico this Friday February 27th, 2009.  This is a poster I designed
for the film.

I’m randomly heading down to Mexico today.  My friend is getting paid
to be in a 48 hour docudrama.  I will most likely be back in Oakland
next week.

I was getting out of my car in the rain last night and my cell phone fell into a deep puddle.  I don't think it's going to start working again, so I need to get everyone's phone number again.

Also, I'm sorry if I don't answer phone calls for a while.  Hit me up on here I guess.

Thank you.

I'm really sorry to all my friends in Southern California, but I'm not going to be able to make it down to do the installation in time for the Santa Ana show.

I'm having an Anti-Police Brutality art show that opens tonight in Oakland, and it just drained to much out of me organizing ten artists and dealing with the media.

I'm pushing the Santa Ana show back until I have the time to do something more organized.   Maybe I'll bring this Anti-Police Brutality show down there.

Sorry again, I really wanted to see you all.
