Foleyvision is back! We've been climbing the walls with excitement over our new show, and our very special guest! This Saturday, May 12, 7 and 9:45 at the Alamo Downtown, Foleyvision will work it's magic on the Japanese Spiderman! The great American hero gets tricked-out Japanese style with the addition of a flying car, a space bracelet, a little kid, and a giant robot! We can't make this stuff up in America! Aside from the usual spectacular Foleyvision addition of live music, live sound effects, and live voice dubbing performed right in the theater, this time out we also have a super-special guest! You may hear him perform sound effects regularly on PRAIRIE HOME COMPANION, you may have heard his gremlin voicings in GREMLINS, you may have read his great book MOUTHSOUNDS, but we have the amazing FRED NEWMAN live in the theater!! This is your once-in-a-lifetime (twice if you go to both shows) chance to see this living legend perform with this hilarious, insane Japanese film! Those who miss it will cry tears of destiny! Buy your tickets now and watch the trailer at: http://www.originalalamo.com/Show.aspx?id=4461

The holidays are upon us, but instead of rushing out to see the latest heartwarming garbage Hollywood is trying to shove down your throat, come see a true Christmas classic: Foleyvision's SANTA vs. SATAN! This Saturday, Dec. 16, at 7 and 9:45 p.m. at the original downtown Alamo Drafthouse!
This gem of a film comes from Mexico, circa 1959, and is in full color with a lavish budget that was not wasted on its script, a hallucinatory trip through the holiday's seldom-seen inner workings. For instance, did you know..
-Santa lives in an electronic castle in space? -Santa uses robot reindeer to make his trip to Earth on Christmas Eve? -Santa is engaged in an age-old feud with the Prince of Darkness? -Demons get tummy aches from eating ice cream?
It turns out there's a lot we didn't know about Santa! But thanks to Foleyvision's LIVE music, LIVE sound effects, and LIVE voice dubbing, all performed right in the theater, learning about Christmas is as hilarious as it is educational!
This is one of the most beloved films in the Foleyvision repertoire, in no small part due to the amazing performances of Chad Nichols as Lupita, the cutest little poor girl ever filmed; the extraordinary Yasmine Kittles, who will be flying in from L.A. just for this show; and Peter Stopschinski's musical score that references a lot of music that doesn't belong in a Christmas movie!
Don't miss Foleyvision's SANTA vs. SATAN this Saturday, Dec. 16, at 7 and 9:45 p.m. at the original downtown Alamo Drafthouse! It's a Ho Ho Hell of a good time!

FOLEYVISION PRESENTS
FOR YOUR HEIGHT ONLY
LIVE IN FOLEYVISION!!!!! WITH LIVE DIALOGUE, MUSIC AND SOUND EFFECTS PERFORMED RIGHT IN THE THEATRE!!!!!
Finally, a James Bond film we can get behind! No, I'm not talking about "Casino Royale," you silly geese, I'm talking about "For Your Height Only." Straight from the Philippines, a land without shame (and apparently without copyright lawyers), comes this egregious, entirely inappropriate James Bond ripoff starring chihuahua-sized midget Weng Weng as agent 003½. You won't believe your eyes as the little fella takes down whole gangs of polyester-clad gangsters with his incredible kung-fu technique, which consists primarily of vicious rabbit-punches to the groin. Ouch! And when it comes to loving he's a pint-sized Prince Charming. You just have to see it to believe it. Best of all, FOR YOUR HEIGHT ONLY is presented in Foleyvision. Wider than Cinemascope, deeper than 3D, more sonically astounding than THX, it's FOLEYVISION! Every line of dialogue, every note of music, every single sound effect performed right before your eyes by the amazing Foleyvision cast. We'll see you there.

FOLEYVISION PRESENTS THE HINDI SUPERMAN and WORLDWIDE SUPER ODDITIES! JULY 9 & 30 - 7:00 PM & 9:45 PM :: DOWNTOWN
LIVE DIALOGUE, MUSIC AND SOUND EFFECTS PERFORMED RIGHT IN THE THEATRE!
This stone cold rip-off of the 1978 Richard Donner film steals its story elements, special effects footage, and even music! Because the entire movie is in Hindi with no subtitles, we have spent many hours in the Foleyvision Secret Labs deciphering its plot: Jor-El, Superman's father, can't convince the planet elders (dressed in bright pink and purple togas) that Krypton is going to be destroyed. So Jor-El and his wife make a space capsule out of cardboard and aluminum foil, and put their infant son on a foil wrapped cookie sheet on top of the capsule. The capsule reaches Earth and crashes in India with so much force, it leaves a long length of burnt grass in a field. The Kent couple comes by, and are so taken by seeing the baby lying on a bean bag chair, they decide to keep him. They quickly learn what a special son they now have - not only can he lift a car, but he can bend a garden hose in half. About ten years later, the Kents throw a party to show off to their friends the special powers their son Clark has. Clark proceeds to impress everyone by slowly and awkwardly breakdancing to Michael Jackson's "Beat It". And the rest, as they say, is history.
