Lately I've been doing lots of gigs with various people.. would like to mention the lovely Andreya Triana especially http://www.myspace.com/andreyatriana

as well as Bridgette Amofah http://www.myspace.com/bridgettesmusic - we had a blast the other night playing the OneTaste Festival - after Newton Faulkner had done some absolute magik up there.. awesome night!!

Look out for both of these ladies!

This Sunday I'll be taking time out from rehearsals at The Union Chapel (I'm lending my voice to Terry de Castro as well as playing my own songs on the night :) - to do a photoshoot for the Camera Press photographer Dylan Walker!

He's putting together an exciting photo project for the charity Action Aid entitled The A-Z of London Singer/Songwriters. It'll be a series of portraits of London-based (or born) Singer/Songwriters which will come together in an exhibition and placement in the press via Camera Press. All proceeds from the project will be donated to Action Aid's great cause: http://www.actionaid.org.uk.

Afghanaid Charity Concert - London Marathon After Party

WHEN:
Friday, May 15th, 2009, from 7pm

WHO:

Quist & Friends/Stereo Dance Party/Dirty Fingernails/Afghanaid All Star Groove Jazzers - including Ivo Neame, James Allsopp and Jasper Hoiby.
 
Quist will be 'guest-performing' with all of the acts - from folky acoustic treats to indie rock brilliance to groovy jazz from some of London's TOP jazz artists, this will be a night to remember!!!

WHY:
To raise even more money for Afghanaid (www.afghanaid.org.uk) and celebrate the London Marathon and all the money raised! AND to have some fun while we're at it :)

Hey!

Just a little update for yas..

You might notice a different looking event in the concert list entitled 'London Marathon for Afghanaid'.. well, that's cause I'm running London Marathon on April 26th in a bid to raise £2000 for the fantastic Afghanaid charity!

Lately, I've been recording the music for an AMAZING 9-minute video from 5-times world champion in Freestyle Skydiving Nils Predstrup.. I think the whole thing will be pretty damn cool when done...

I've also been preparing more things for this summer's co2 challenge the 'Not So Whatever Tour' - sorting out the generator for our amps and technical stuff like that.. we've also filmed a trailer for the event, which should be ready soon..

**Not So Whatever Tour 2009**

The tour for my debut studio album will start with 1 full month of gigs in Denmark and 1 full month of gigs in the UK.

The 'Not So Whatever Tour 2009' will be a challenge - to live as co2 FREE as we possibly can for a full month in each country - whether travelling, performing, eating, sleeping or just having fun - I want to try and learn how to do it with the smallest of carbon footprints! This means travelling by bicycle (and sailboat), playing through amplifiers that use the energy produced on the bike, living off the land, eating food directly from local farmers only - and so forth.
The project will be filmed for Danish TV.
