We are proud to announce the release of the new Hawke album +++, written and produced by Gavin Hardkiss.

As an alternative to having songs remixed, Gavin asked visual artists to create paintings, sculptures, videos and mixed media inspired by the album and join him to create an art event to celebrate the album's release.

Fifteen artists from the Bay Area and beyond will have work featured at the event. Artists include Felipe Merida, Fernando Apodaca, John Stewart, Handiedan, Duser, Ursula X. Young, Justin Young, Pure Evil, Owen Maigret, Robert Ogden, Evan Venegas, Trina Merry, Lucian Moon, Breejock, Joe B and Dmitri SFC.

There will also be several nights of DJ entertainment featuring Gavin Hardkiss and cohorts, with fashion, food, photoboof and general tomfoolery.

Wednesday October 7th @ 7pm - Artist Opening Party
Friday October 9th @10pm - Honey Kiss Dancing w/ Gavin Hardkiss and Honey Soundsystem
Friday October 16th @9pm - DJs Gavin & Robbie Hardkiss

Another blast from the past. This remix was done for Bay Area singer/songwriter Kenon Chen, and was released on limited edition 12″ vinyl in 2002. Kenon also supplied vocals for the song “The Hardest Kiss” on the Love Won Another LP.

Michelangelo Battaglia has declared this to be the Balearic Summer 2009. So without further ado, here’s a cover version of Happy Mondays “Bob’s Yer Uncle” from my new album ”+++”. The album will be released i the Fall 2009.

The newest album "+++" is finished and we're gearing up to release it as quick as possible. "+++" is a deeply personal album in which I have dug deeper into song writing and singing.  There are love songs and lullabies and very few traditional dance tracks.  The album has an almost magical seductive side to it when listen to in it's entirety.

I have posted a couple of songs here on my myspace page.  More will appear on my website - lovewonanother.com - as we move closer to releasing the album.

I hope you enjoy it as much as we are.

I'm eager to hear your thoughts.

++

Whole Lotta Fluff - Led Zepellin vs Gavin Hardkiss

You don't want to miss this free download.
This remix of Led Zeppelin’s Whole Lotta Love was produced in 2004 with the help of Skyler Mic in San Diego. In never ceases to amaze me how the crowd react to it. A hyper energetic romp for the heavy weight rockers and midnight ravers.

2. Jazzbox - Smiling featuring Louis Armstrong
3. Beyond the Wizard's Sleeve - Winter in June
4. The Tough Alliance - Hidden Bonus Track
5. The Tough Alliance - Something Special
6. The Kleptones - Love Song For Yoshimi (featuring The Flaming Lips)
7. Ian Brown - El Mundo Pequeno
8. International Pony - Solid Gold (Lost Version)
9. Small World - I Believe

The mix was included in a 60 minute show with interview snippets and remixes from the Love Won Another.

My first ever record as Gavin Hardkiss is out now on Beatport.

You may have already heard the tracks on my Myspace page but now they have been mastered and sound better than ever.

Three original, blistering tech-house cuts make up The Knight Of The Hawke Fields led by the "Fields Of No Name" which sounds like a sleek night flight across the San Francisco skyline. The funky magic continues with the sublime statements "Can I Borrow Your Cane" and "Necrotone".

The EP is already getting club play from a diverse crop of DJs which includes Sasha, Sandy Rivera, Hernan Cattaneo, Murray Richardson, Tyler Stadius, and Jay West.

You can listen to the tracks here.

Having released music through every possible channel (tape, vinyl, cd and mp3) over the last 15 years, I wanted to create a place for me to document my whole catalog and share it.

So I've got back to the old DIY aesthetic and I'll be posting music old and new, also videos and other stuff.

I am finishing off a new album titles EVERYTHING IS HAPPENING AT THE SAME TIME and you'll be hearing it here first.

I've been making weekly posts since December so there's already some nice music available.  Look out for weekly updates.
