We're sooo stoked for the new year! The year 2009 is already turning out wonderfully for us! Just for January we have so much on our plate. We're going to have to post another for February!!

We're doing two contests with FuckThatBand.com. January's is up now: Scene Trash Survival Pack! They just did a contest with Fearless Records so we hopped on the bandwagon! Contest ends January 16th, so enter to win now!

NEW STATES!
Scene Trash is now working with bands in North Carolina & South Carolina, and we have some awesome new staff members! So check out the list of bands on our MySpace, and the new girls will be up here soon!

TRASHED IN '08
Starting Sunday, we're going to have a week long poll up summing up 2008 in a nice concise way. You can find the poll at scenetrash.com/trashedin08.shtml. You've only got a week so don't procrastinate!

We're pleased to announce that in collaboration with Quickstar Productions, we will be presenting the Scene Trash Awards at St. Timothy's Church in Catonsville, MD! There's an awesome lineup on bands, and we'll be announcing the winners between sets. Some of your favorite locals are gonna be there to hang out and recieve their awards, so you should be there toooo!

Also, pick up a copy of Issue 24 featuring The Years Gone By for only $2 at our table, to see all the results and of course, The Hottest Boys in Local Bands list, haha!

This is pretty simple... WE NEED FLYER MAKERS! We've got to cover 6 states, and not enough people can make GOOD flyers. We don't need you to write or take pictures or anything--Just make flyers. We'll give you a free subscription for as long as you make flyers for us. Email us with examples of flyers you've made at apply@scenetrash.com!

HEY EVERYONE!

Hope your summer is awesome, so far! We've been very very busy lately and wanted to fill you kids in, so here's what up...

JULY 4 at NOON we will be announcing our 47 new bands! Giving us 70 bands across six states (NY, NJ, DE, PA, MD, VA) and 13 staff members! (Thank you to everyone who applied and sorry we couldn't pick you but when we expand more (which we will), we'll keep you in mind!

We will be putting up a brand new MySpace page, and updating our website to include a news, classified & photos sections, as well as some new interviews & reviews.

WHAT THIS MEANS: We're going to have tons of interviews and articles about bands all across these 6 states, and we'll keep you up to date about all of them on all our sites!

JULY COVER
In honor of our expansion our July Cover will feature Philadelphia's The Goodnight Anthem, in honor of their new CD! The new issue is out July 16 at Warped Tour (no table this year), so find us and get one!
