So we took a big chance in a bad economy and built a beautiful new studio in Old Forge, PA. So far, no regrets. Our faithful clients followed us here and new clients become fans every week. We are happy to provide a New York/ LA/ Nashville quality recording facility to NE PA. at a fraction of the cost. It seems as times go by, all the bands/musicians that thought some " name producer" or "big time studio" would take them farther/ faster, learned that it's not the name or the hype that makes a good recording, it's people who care. We have had our share of celebrity artists and producers come through. That's not what make us great. Attention to detail, musicianship, and a comfortable space has made us who we are. If you want to be famous, dance naked in the white house. You want a great recording, come to Si Studios. We believe in presenting your talent in the best possible light within your budget. No phony contracts, no promises of record deals, just top shelf recording at a reasonable price. What more do you need. Si Studios. We are trained professionals,do not try this at home. Thanks, Tom

It was just about 1 year ago that Wiggy and I started our big moove to Old Forge. Looking back, it was a great opertunity to design and upgrade the new studio. There are so many more positives at the new studio, it's hard to remember the old place. 6000 square feet as opposed to 2400, no elevator to worry about, plenty of free parking, easy acess, and one of the largest tracking rooms around. We love it here.
Call us and stop in for a tour.570 457 0147
Thanks for making 2008 our best year ever.
Tom and Joe (wiggy)

Wanted to let you know about some of the options you have when working with us at Si Studios. 4- You can just have us master your project.( takes your project to the next level) We have mastered 1000's of cd's for major and independent record companies..
3- You can record anywhere ( or at home) and Mix/ master here. (good choice) We can usually work with any standard format. 2 -You can track basics here, build on them wherever you please and come back to mix and or master. ( better option) Best choice if budget constraints do not allow for next choice. 1- You can record, mix and master hear (Best choice). We feel when we guide the project from beginning to end, you get the best sound and the best deal.
Weigh your options or call and discuss them with us. We can help you to get the job done. Tom Borthwick Mastering / Si studios tom@sistudios.com 570 457-0147

Just a quick note. We have had several emails from people about the studio. The problem is some of your emails can't be answered when you have a blocked or private account. In that case we must be your friend in order to email you. Of course to make a friend request, we need your email or last name both of which we usually do not have or we would have responded by now. So, make a friend request and then we can answer your emails. Disregard this if it does not apply to you. Thanks, Tom Borthwick SIStudios 945 South Main Street Old Forge PA 18518 570 457-0147

We have been very busy at the new place. In the past, we have done work for Polygram artists, MCA artists, and Touch and Go/ 1/4 stick records to name a few. Sony artists are coming in November plus some production companies that are heavy into video. Loosing Caufield had a great CD release party and So Long Pluto just finnished up their 10 song project. Rise Phoenix Rise have been in, working on their cd. The Jimmy Mancus project is just about complete. So stuff happens at Si Studios. Why not stop in for a tour.

Hello fellow musicians, Just wanted to let everyone know we are 100% up and running. Mixing, Tracking and mastering.Everyone loves the new space. The old studio sounded good but this studio sounds even better. The tracking room and the control room are built on solid concrete. The building which started out as a fire house, dates back to 1899. Its built solid with 1and 1/2 foot thick concrete walls on the first floor. We took great pains in soundproofing the rooms and it stays nice and cool due to the heavy insulation. Its great to have lots of parking in the back and no dealing with the elevator. Take a look at the new floor we just finished in the tracking room. Also note the second flying machine up in the 16 foot high section of the tracking room. Give us a call and stop in to see the new place. Thanks for looking, Tom & Wiggy

You know, every time we hear that people are going to other studios, the following question comes to mind: Huh? First off, half the studios in NEPA charge 30-50 bucks. We charge the same, and offer a million things more. We have more space, more (and better) microphones, preamps, compressors, effects. Come by for a tour, and we'll show you firsthand. We aren't in some basement or attic, we're the real deal. And this will scare you: Despite having a ton of Protools HD3 plugins, we also have the real things. Yup, I said it. That's right, the original stuff, real vintage outboard gear. And of course, every single track we record passes through our vintage Neve console. No fake mixer here. So you're spending 50 bucks an hour for the fake stuff? Why not the real stuff? Give me a call. (570) 457-0147. Ask for Tom.
