Becca the Promo Mami

Rebecca V. O'Neal, known amongst her peers as Becca the Promo Mami, is a 21-year old Chicago-based Independent Promotions Consultant working to brand her start-up company StreetLand HeartWear PROMOTIONS, MARKETING, AND PR.

Since February 2006, Ms. O'Neal has immersed herself in Chicago's Urban Entertainment Industry and has been blessed to garner clients such as Paramount Pictures, Scream Tour 5, Sneaker Pimps, Hustle Period Management, NBA/T-Mobile, Global Mixx, TJs DJs Conference/Ozone Awards, FuseTV, the Florida Entertainment Summit, the CW Network, Atlanta International Fashion Week, and Rocbattle.com. She has worked with many of the city's major sneaker/streetwear boutiques and urban clothing lines including PHLI, Enstrumental, Self-Conscious, Fashion Geek, Encore, and St. Alfred, as fashion is a personal passion of hers. In the past year and a half, Becca has also had the pleasure to promote for a great deal of Chicago's Urban Industry professionals and hopefuls.

Rebecca has spoken at Columbia College at a panel for the Columbia College Urban Music Association and will be attending Columbia College in the Spring of 2008. She was a speaker at SouthShore High School, speaking to troubled teens about her experiences at Walter Payton College Preparatory High School , from which she graduated in 2005.

Ms. O'Neal hopes to one day own as event/concert venue that accommodates all-ages events, a female-friendly urban boutique, and expand her company to several major markets across the country.
