RBRBR had the pleasure of supporting Metronomy on Wednesday night at their sold out show at Cabaret Voltaire. RBRBR warmed the crowd up to boiling-degrees-Celsius with the usual beats, noises, squeaks, bleeps, roars, anthems and complicated footwork.

Metronomy were fantastic, as were their touring pardners Two Door Cinema Club. Great night, big crowd, party atmosphere, quality music – a HUGE thank you to Tallah Brash of Fresh Air FM for setting the whole thing up.

Henry's Cellar Bar on Fri 14 November is the best place for human beings to get their next live RBRBR hit, and there's a BBC Radio 1 session on the night of 12 November too. x

The RBRBR collective were back at the Ark last Saturday (11th October) to play another sizzling set to the masses, this time joined by Yoshi and, Dundee's finest, Hanney. With Ralph Speed again behind the sound desk the evening was in expert hands and musicians and audience alike were on top form. Big thanks to all who came along – whether from Edinburgh or the party-bus from Dundee – and for all the dancing, singing-along and partying which made this busy night so much fun.

And of course, this was the first opportunity for human beings to grab themselves an exclusive RBRBR t-shirt! Wipe away those tears; there will be more available at the upcoming Metronomy gig at Cabaret Voltaire (29th October).

Watch out for forthcoming RBRBR blogs - with 2 more gigs in the next 4 weeks, a live session on Fresh Air FM and an exceedingly exciting session and chat on Vic Galloway's Radio 1 show in November, there is more reason now than ever to bring your 27 Russian Friends into the world of RBRBR!

Achooo! These are certainly exciting times for RBRBR, let us tell you;

Last week, Radio 1 played 27 Russian Friends on the Vic Galloway show - many, many thanks to Tallah and Camille for that. There was talk on the show of a live session on the show too.

We've also just graced the Ark, last Tuesday, with our first gig there - and it was one time, two times, three times a party. Another gig at the Ark on Sat 11 October awaits. However, we are suitably ecstatic with our latest booking - a support slot with Metronomy at Cabaret Voltaire on Wed 29 October. We are obscenely excited about this one; tell your friends (and aunties) it is NOT to be missed!

Finally, sound engineer supremo, Ralph Speed (of Joe Viterbo), is putting the finishing touches to a new RBRBR track we will be having available shortly, hot on the heels of Maff (which is almost ready too). You lucky human beings! Only a sealed tub of Dairylea Luncheables has more potential!

Farmyard animals need constant care and attention, not to mention feeding; do not take this responsibility lightly.

Ladies and Gentlemen: hush your voices; maim those crickets, for RBRBR are preparing to announce an arrival. Do not stifle this arrival survival trifle 27 Russian Friends. Now, for your listening pleasure, a tale of wearied brows, leathered elbows…and of seepage.

Baked goods are not necessary to enjoy this product, and the same can be said for cheap meat substitutes. They eat at the very heart of what is good, righteous and edible. Edibilities offend the sensibilities and those very same sensibilities can give rise to disabilities in our chimpanzees. "The soup is ready, Peter!" is a phrase we, as human beings, should all exclaim, in fury, at some time in our lives. The real question is this; is that time…now?

Current mood:  lonely
"I gathered gravy with just one sheep, I give ye gammon galore" was one consideration of a lyric, but it was swiftly dismissed as lunacy by RBRBR. After all, Salty Trout had no real business suggesting lyrics for the band's new recording. Everybody agreed it was time for lunch, so they crossed the bridge and settled down to crepes, Kiplings and ginger pop. "I hate my doctor!" exclaimed Punctual Goat. Everybody warmly agreed.

Before leaving to continue their epic journey, RBRBR thought it only wise to announce the arrival of Masicks Blues to the local tribes from the villages. At best it would be taken as a sign. At worst, well, as an insult, but a very, very nice insult.

The night drew in, the wolves began a-howlin... and the sun a-stopped a-shinin... RBRBR had long since slipped away: the foul stench of stale sucrose the only clue that they had ever been there at all.
