Penny Red have gone into what might be euphemistically called 'extended hibernation. We are no more, bereft of life etc.

It's been fun, but life has intervened.

We will all carry on damaging eardrums in our own ways in the future. For now, we fall asleep to the humming of our own ears...

We're now back to a full line-up with the addition of new drummer Ruben!

For now we're beavering away teaching him the ways of the red but it won't be long before we're out gigging again - watch this space!

Oh me oh my, it's all gone quiet!

We have a big, drummer-shaped hole to fill. We're looking for someone about the same age as us (about 27), and liking roughly the same things as us (anything rockpunkish that's a bit exciting).

As long as you can twirl your sticks around then you're in. Drumming ability is an optional extra.

Someone in SE London would be best but we can be pretty flexible.

It's been a while since had any gigs.

Gigs are the best thing ever.

The problem is that they take a lot of effort to book and we're all feeling a bit lazy at the mo. If anyone wants to sort something out for us we'll set your night alight. If not, then you'll have to wait until we get on with doing some bookings.

I have a hangover

I feel like I spend most of my life with a hangover these days. It's as if I only have to stand near a half of shandy and I'll spend the next day feeling like death.



On the plus side, I have a new song in my head that will be good when it's done

bloody hell. We played a bit of a double-header last night. Ears still ringing

One of the bands at the all-dayer we played at didn't turn up, so we volunteered to fill their shoes. We played a set downstairs, then carried our stuff upstairs and carried on playing. Rock!

Rich then got completely mashed and tried to force people to eat fried eggs
