Hey, The track 'My Friend Forever' off 'Dakota' was played on a Friends themed Sydney radio show. Check it out here:
http://www.thematicsradio.com/?p=58
I have been working on starting a band with some close friends, hence the relative silence outputwise. We are going to play acoustic shoegazy stuff.
any suggestions for band names would be welcome, the current favorite is 'The mountaineering club'
cheers

Acoustic Fireworks have used the remastered version of Fallback Lighthorsemen on their first release titled Floating Fire.
It has a superb blend of acoustic and electric artists on there, and as they say 'With this compilation, we want to “define” our “sound”. Melancholy and bombast go hand in hand.'
you can download the Release here:

Hey, a great artist called Nane ( http://www.myspace.com/nanimage ) has done a video for the track; this is the end of everything using old footage of volcanoes.
It looks pretty immense and you can check it out here:

These are the lyrics to my song 'Terrorforming' which can be found on the album 'As We Fall In To Static Our Hearts Sing'. The song is loosly based on a '28 Days Later' type scenario. (one of my top 5 films ever i think)
Terrorforming:
Wake, The time for rest has gone, The citizens arround you have all disappeared.
Walk, Go out in to the street, The city is deserted, there's nobody around, To explain what has passed.
Fire, Exploding in the sky, At night is when is dangerous, You cannot see them come,
{for your life}
Run, Run blindly through the night, The terror forming in you is slowly taking hold, panicked thoughts rule you now.
All your light, then your heart, Will die.
A light, In your heart, Has gone out, And you see, That its over, Over, Over for you now.
[screams]

I have had a few requests recently regarding lyrics to 'Dakota Took to Wing and History was Made', so, here they all are.
This is not a revolution:
Curse the rich through blackened lips, The lies they told that broke your back, The charge that failed, The men that died, The war was fought in revolutions name.
When the golden walls come down, You'll no longer be the king.
This is not a revolution, Failure to communicate, Tell me this not the future, What have we become, Where is our light?
[Chorus]
When the golden walls come down, You'll no longer be the king My friend.
My friend forever:
[Churchill 'fight them on the beaches' sample]
Watchtower of the universe:
Theres a watchtower of the universe, With a symbiotic mind, What the hell are we if not intelligent design?
Great mind, Olympius, Move at seven feet a year, Why is it you hide away, What is it you fear?
What is it you fear? What is it you fear
Watchtower of the universe, what is it you see? If only i knew what it was then i would come to see that:
We are not alone, We are not alone, When we are under your gaze, then we have nothing to fear.
We are not alone,
We are not alone, When we are under your gaze, then we have nothing to fear.
Dear god, why is it im blind? There is nothing out there just a frightened mind.
[N.B. - i partly based this song on the concepts portrayed in the book 'white mars' by Brian W. Aldiss and Dr. Roger Penrose]
Ruin and Tremor:
[Sample of live radio broadcast as the hindenburg crashed in 1937]
Forever / Flight of the friends
We follow those who have gone before, The broken path that will guide us home.
We rise together, our sleeping forms, And slowly feel our strength retyrn.
We fly together, from mountain tops, We spread our wings out and face the sun.
The ground benieth us falls away, And for a moment i feel alive
[spoken - pre chorus]
The stars are shining brighter than ever before tonight, and when the world ends, so will they
[spoken - post chorus]
As we stand together on this clifftop, holding hands and sharing thought, the world turns, but not for us. We are the music makers, The fallen elite, We are the dreamers of dreams, And tonight, These dreams will guide us as we take the first steps to rekindle the light of the world. In our hearts, In our minds, And in the last dying moments of a tired Earth, We will stand together, We will stand alone, We will not retreat.

Just a quick update, but I'm planing on having finished a new album called 'As we fall in to static our hearts sing' by Easter (i.e the end of April)
It will be available for free download with Wise Owl Records and for the first time, I'm hoping to get about 50 hard copies made with the label IFF Transponder.
I will be posting tracks up on the player as work in progress in the near future.
Cheers for listening
Toma

'Dakota Took To Wing And History Was Made' has been given a frankly embarrasingly good review in a new Post Rock blog called 'Captain Parish'. The guy who runs it (who conveniently is a good friend of mine) is doing reviews of Post Rock/Shoegaze music that you may not know, but should. It is well worth checking out! He is a sound guy, and knows more about guitar geekery than is really healthy...
