I think a few fights might break out about Jack Johnson, but who knows?

"Kurt Cobain About A Son" is a nice semi-experimental look into the late Nirvana frontman's life. Using almost no original Nirvana music and with visuals composed of a mix of exprimental animation and the locals, locales and landscapes of Adberdeen, Olympia and Seattle, Washington. The film offes a glimpse inside the brain of one most overhyped/underrated(depending on where your alleigances lie) public figures in recent music history. As directed by AJ Schnack the film details a series of late night/early morning heartfelt interviews that Kurt Cobain gave music journalist Michael Azerrad over a 5 year period leading up to just a year before his suicide. Kurt speaks of his parent's divorce, high school, alienation, his monk-like existence, the craziness that is Courtney Love and music business phonies. While at certain times the moments and insights shared in the film seem reserved for those die hard fans or those who've become holdover Holden Caufields in their old age the film ultimately reminds you of that not too distant time in your own life, adolescence. A time which for many musters up images of first fucks and first kisses of newly racing minds and raging hormones of seemingly stillborn idealism. It was a time when people like Kurt Cobain could be cynical with conviction and unafriad to speak unmuzzled even with crtics lashing at his heels.

GIRL IN A COMA

They rock(I'm not the one who thinks so) and are playing around town for the next few weeks...

FROM:GIRL IN A COMA Well we had to share this with everyone. Last night's gig was amazing...and to top it off Morrissey himself attended the show. This morning on LA radio here.. there was rumor that Nina fainted while meeting Moz... so to clear that... she didn't.
We were , though, nervous wrecks knowing he was out there. After our show we got to meet him and were told that his favorite songs were "Clumsy Sky" and "Say". He said alot of things that meant alot to us.
So now we are breaking up.
We kid.

We just wanted to set the record straight as to what happened last night.
Thanks to the Randies for being so amazing and the Donnas for letting us open the show.

Also thanks to Mun 2 crew for attending as well as the Dollyrots.. Happy Bday Luis!
Also to Boz.. for always being so amazing to us.
Tonight we will be playing the Scene Bar in Glendale Ca...
hope to see all your lovely faces.
