a friend of mine wrote a blog recently, and i felt it needed a girls's perspective.  so, here's my take on it...and a caution, i tend to ramble...

yes boys, it is true...if you tell a girl you don't want to get serious, then she's going to be all over you!  i'm basing this not only on my response but many of my girls who have only wanted a boy because he didn't want to be "caught".  there's just something about it.  if a guy tells you he isn't looking for anything and is upfront about what he does want, then he's doing something that many guys have a problem with...telling the TRUTH!  i don't know if this is always the case, but it has to have something to do with it.  also, let's face it, girls like the chase just as much as the boys do!  it's fun!  you have to work at it.  you can't just wear a t-shirt and jeans (even if that happens to be what the boy likes for you to wear); you have to fix the hair and put on make-up.  it gives us something to do, something to work at.  guys that are too into you, and yes it is possible, are kinda annoying.  now, there are extremes on both ends, but there always needs to be some type of challenge.  even though i am admitting to this, doesn't mean i'll treat the situation any differently next time it presents itself.  boys will go on not wanting to be in a commited relationship, and this will continue to make girls find them more attractive!

100 Things You Might Not Have Known About Me!!!

i was sitting in the drive through at chick-fil-a today, and i heard a new song on the radio (it's the new one on my profile).  it's so funny how a song can make you start thinking and remembering things.  i have a song for almost everyone i know...when i hear it, i can't help but think of them.  i guess since music is something i love, this only makes sense!  this is not always a good thing of course, sometimes i am forced to remember people and things that i would rather forget, but usually the memories are of good times.  the song i heard today was talking about the girl hoping the guy remembered her when he heard a tim mcgraw song.  this makes me think of one of those cute fayette county boys i dated in high school.  anytime that certain tim mcgraw song came on it was like, "aww, this is like our song!"  it's funny now thinking about it 8 years later, but it's how i remember this guy...sitting in his truck listening to our song!

i always think of my old roomie when i listen to sugar.  we would listen to that everytime we got in the car to go anywhere...or if we just needed to get pumped up in the morning!  one night when i was going out in macon, we listened to the song ho in the car, but that song also makes me think of a girl i worked with at the big d.  she would always sing that song!  then there are all the songs that make me think of other boys...too many to list!  there are bunches more, these are just the first few that came to mind.  i'll never forget that cutie from high school though.  he sure was great!

so, the state superintendant of schools for georgia, is making a stop at the good ole ULMS next week.  i was chosen to meet with her with a small group of other teachers, and she is coming to my classroom.  of course, she's coming during 6th period, which isn't my best class, but i'm still pumped up!  i really do feel special.  it almost makes me rethink leaving next year...almost!!!

here's one thing i totally hate...people telling you they'll do something, and then totally not coming through.  don't get me wrong, i cancel plans as bad as anyone, but i do actually cancel them.  i don't just not do something.  how rude!  if you think i'm talking to you, then you're feeling guilty about something, and you may be the one who caused this!  i'll let it slide this time, but let's not let it happen again...ok?!?

ahh...i feel better now.  it's amazing what a little venting can do!

how do you know it's going to be a really good day?  when you wake up, and you're actually awake!  plus, you turn on the tv and there's this show on that you used to watch every week with jordan catalono (? sp) and his gorgeous eyes...that's right, it's my so called life.

it has to be a good day when you get to watch my so called life at 5 am before you have to get ready for the day ahead...it just has to be!!!

so, i got a new phone-the v cast kind from verizon.  i think it's totally ridiculous to spend $15 a month for the v-cast subscription since i use my ipod for music and can get it free.  well, i bought the trans-flash card from radio shack today so i could put some of the music i already have on my computer on my phone.  i can save the song to the card, but it's not being recognized by the phone.  it will show that the memory is being used, but won't show the sound (or music, i've tried both).  i'm screaming!!!!  why did i even buy the stupid thing?!?

this of course leads to another problem.  i have all of my music saved on my ipod, and i want to move it to my computer or at least to itunes.  i tried all kinds of stuff, but i guess i'm incompetent!  what do i do???

why am i going to get my masters in technology if i can't even do this stupid, simple stuff???
