Hello good people, heres hoping you are all fine and well. We just want to keep you updated with whats going on without giving too much away. We will be starting a brand new event in 2010, starting in February. We are just in the final stages of confirming venues in Liverpool, Sheffield, Bristol, London, Newcastle and Edingburgh. If you live in any of these cities, and want to perform at an event which will be like no other, then let your interest be known to us. We really cant give any more details on the event at this moment in time, but what we can say is that we are so excited about next years "tour". You may or may not have seen the changes to www.bandinabox.tv Theres so much more to come, including articles and reviews and special features. The amount of views of all filmed videos is staggering, and its only going to get better once we officially launch the new look design and layout. Everything we do will be geared towards the bandinabox.tv site. So stay posted people, more information will be filtering through over the coming 7-14 days and we are certain you will not be dissapointed. All the best bandinabox.tv

Every Thursday we will be changing the music player ( which we have totally left un loved for far too long due to other commitments ) to promote bands who we have worked with, or would like to work with over the coming months. All you have to do is send us an email to featureme@bandinabox.tv with your band name, mp3 version of your chosen song and the title of the song. This will be featured on www.myspace.com/keyholeproductions and www.bandinabox.tv Its free promotion for very little effort. If your wondering why we havent any gigs lined up at the moment, theres 2 reasons for this. 1) We have just finished a mammoth month of filming in conjunction with Jar music for the Breakout festival where we filmed in Manchester, Liverpool, Edingburgh, Brighton, and London. 75 bands filmed in a month is a lot of filming and editing! You can catch some of the footage from selected bands, as well as the show at www.bandinabox.tv 2) We are working on a bigger and better BAND IN A BOX project at the moment, something which is taking a lot of time and planning but when it comes to fruition it will be worth the wait. Not just for ourselves but for every band who will be taking part in these special events. If you would like an event in your city/town then drop us a line. If you have any ideas/suggestions regarding anything gig/music related then please share your thoughts with us. All the best Steven Keyhole Productions

Hi good folk of myspace, hope your all fine and well and having a great start to the weekend. Had a great weekend myself, buzzing around the Zanzibar for our latest BAND IN A BOX event, and ive got to say it was our most enjoyable to date. Different bands, different styles but one thing in common : They were all great! So i thought i would just post my little mini review of each band in the hope you will check them out and take a listen for yourself.
SHAUGHNESSY : www.myspace.com/terryshaughnessy
Headline act, swaggered on stage with the class and style that every great frontman should have. We must have been getting close to 1am but they were fresh, and ready to put in a steller shift of music. Backed up by a great crowd, these guys didnt dissapoint and probably produced one of the best live sets BAND IN A BOX has witnessed. Fantastic musicianship of the highest order. Music sounds brilliant when you have a band like this headlining the night. Hope to get them back in the very near future and if we do, do not miss out. You have BEEN WARNED! Serious quality going on here people!
THE GRANDE : www.myspace.com/thegrandeband
This was the one i had been looking forward to for weeks, i simply love this band and they didnt dissapoint. If you think the songs sound good on thier myspace ( and they do by the way ), they sound even more amazing live. A little more edgy, a little more louder without losing anything in the overall mix it was a brilliant show. Fantastic vocals from Lead frontman Ben and complimented by the amazing female vocals of Melissa that just added an extra bit of class to the whole production. Brilliant band who seem to have a keen knack of bieng able to not only write great songs, but perform them as well. Oh HAPPY DAYS indeed!
COUNCIL POP : www.myspace.com/councilpopsongs
Brillaint set of just.....well check out the band name! Fantastic set of pop songs with Claire delivering a brilliant performance. Lyrics that you dont forget and you find yourself singing to hours after the show. The band put on a great show, looking like they were having a blast which is always great to see and the crowd appreciated this pearler of a 30 minute set. Got to mention Jez the drummer here as well, first man to play 2 BIAB with 2 different bands and put on 2 top drawer performances, top bloke! Check out Council Pops brilliant songs on the link above, and be prepared to watch a brilliant live performance once the dvd is released of this performance. QUALITY!
DICKS ORCHARD : www.myspace.com/dicksorchard
I love this band, i always have and always will. 3rd time ive seen them and they nail the set better every time i see them. When its melodic and Bluesy with Dave on the flute its brilliant. When Dave and Marty are right in the thick of it, its got amazing controlled aggression with the dual vocals. A fantastic and varied set of music with my good man Waka on the drums, Pod on the bass ( great bass line on that last track Pod ) and Andy on rhythm supporting the Dave and Marty. Playing the 02 academey on 7th August supporting Dave Tyrrell, now thats what i call a STELLER night of music.
PHUNK : www.myspace.com/phunk2008
Now i didnt really know what to expect from Phunk as weve never had a band on whose style is Funk/Reggae. Well how stupid do i look now for not booking them sooner because they were simply amazing, truly stupendous ( and i never EVER use that word lightly ). What a set of music. I can put my bottom dollar on the fact that it is a rarity to find musicians of this calibre in the same band. From start to finish it was just great song after great song, the drummer must have hands of gold because his touch and style was amazing. Brilliant bass lines, i seriously mean some top drawer bass lines by Gaz whomust have gone to the school for magicians to learn how toplay like that. Throw in some of the finest guitar playing, brilliant saxaphone ( not too much either so when it did come in it complimented the music 100%, a very proud father in the audience watching his daughter as well i noticed ;0) and vocals by Lee which just blew me away, top performance by a great frontman. I cant wait to see them again, and it certainly opened my eyes to having different styles of music compliment each other on the night. CLASS, simple as!
SEB GREEN : www.myspace.com/sebgreentheband
These guys rolled up in a huge coach rock and roll style with a legion of fans to lend thier support, not that they needed it. Within 10 seconds of Seb Green opening up the night they had the Zanzibar ROCKING, truly bloody rocking and it was a great sight! They have got the passion, the songs and the stage presence to go as far as they want in music, and we were treated to 30 minutes of brilliant music, including my personal favourite BEE STING ( get in there! ) We even had time for a flying Welshman to launch on stage which was NOT PRE PLANNED! They got on with it with fantastic vocals from Dave ( noticed the theme, a whole night of quality lead singers ) who has got what you need to have to be a standout frontman. What it is i dont know, but i do know Dave has it so ask him, and he was more than backed up by Jase, Mike and Rob ( what a guitar mate ;0) who just all performed a brilliant tight set. Any Liverpool promoters reading this? Out of town band from Wrexham, pull a crowd most of us would envy, brilliant music, brilliant people, get in touch with them on the above link. Cant wait to have them back in Liverpool before the end of the year.
VINNY T SPEN : www.myspace.com/vinnytspen
What a gentleman, what a musician this man is. He oozes calmness, and he delivered a beautiful set of songs that the crowd in tow watched in silence, hanging on this mans every word. Vinny produced a performance worthy of the finest of stages, and we were lucky to catch a glimpse of this fine mans work on this great night of nights.
THE BIG I AM : www.myspace.com/bigiamrash
Colin armed with his Cuatro, Pete with his Ukelele and Steve on Piano, these men gave an insight into 3 brilliant minds which have written some of the finest folk/acoustic music the Zanzibar is ever likely to hear. Intricate melodies with amazing vocals and well assisted by Steve it was a performance of the highest order. Please do take the time to check thier music out, you will not be dissapointed.
ACOUSTIC SHEL! : www.myspace.com/shelnuckley
Simply put, one of the finest female vocals you are ever likely to hear. And it wasnt just me who thought so. Shel!, with a brilliant crowd support her, produced an immaculate performance with a beautiful set of acoustic songs singing with every bit of emotion and feeling she could muster and WOW! A lovely personality to go with the great songs, i sincerely hope we will be seeing a lot more of her on the acoustic scene as she has huge potential for one so young.
GUY TAUNTON : www.myspace.com/guytaunton
After intitial nerves ( common when we have cameras about 2 feet away! ) Guy produced an assured performance of acoustic/folk music to open the night. Guy has some new material which has just been uploaded onto myspace somakesure you check this good mans work out.
So thats the end of my mini review ( took me an hour that you know ;0),hope you like it, hope the bands do but more importantly dont take my word for it and check the bands/acoustic acts out for yourself as thats what its all about.
NEXT UP : BAND IN A BOX SATURDAY 22ND AUGUST @ THE ZANZIBAR CLUB 2 SLTS REMAINING. Seriously cant believe these 2 slots havent been taken up as of yet. The deal we are doing on this night is just amazing and i thought this night would have been snapped up ages ago. If your interested, drop me a line for further details. You wont regret wanting to do this night, trust me.
Signing out, be good
Steven

Hello good folk of myspace, hope your having a great start to the week ;0) Just to let you know the details of our Leeds BAND IN A BOX in conjunction with N3M is all booked with a great line up of bands. This is for Sunday 23rd August @ Josephs Well. Got to say thanks to Mickey of N3M for sorting a date out so quick and a big thanks to the bands below for bieng fantastic over the past few days. So, heres the line up for our first venture outside of this great city of ours.
RADIO:RED ( HEADLINE ACT ) D-TOURS ELEPHANTS ON ACID MIDNIGHT RISING THE ROSE BAY WILLOW BAND
Saturday 25th July sees BAND IN A BOX return to the ZANZIBAR CLUB for a top drawer night of music with the following bands on show
**MAINSTAGE**
SHAUGHNESSY ( HEADLINE ACT ) THE GRANDE COUNCIL POP DICKS ORCHARD PHUNK SEB GREEN
**ACOUSTIC STAGE**
VINNY T SPEN ( HEADLINE ACT ) THE BIG I AM SHEL! GUY TAUNTON
You cant deny thats a quality line up going on there. All myspace links will be added tomorrow so you can check every single band out from these events.
For August 22nd @ The Zanzibar, just booked a top drawer band for headline act, brand new band that came to my attention today and one we are going to love filming. I havent started booking any acoustic acts yet as im not sure if to run an acoustic night for this date as we are in Leeds the following night as well. If the demand is there i may look at running one so acoustic acts GET IN TOUCH!!! Slots available for the mainstage range from 2-3 depending on what time you ask me as every time ive booked one another one has cancelled for one reason or another. In fact i think if the bands that we did have booked had stayed booked we would have our own weekend festival going on, but these things happen and my search goes on to put on another steller night of music. If your interested and would like more details then drop me a line.
Nothing planned as of yet for September, looking at other cities and waiting on a couple of replies. If we cant bring an out of town band to Liverpool, then weve come to the conclusion that we should set up a night in the bands home town. So bands of Manchester, Bolton, Sheffield, Birmingham get in touch and let us know about any good venues we can take over for a night! I should imagine all bieng well our next Liverpool event will be in October after Augusts BAND IN A BOX.
For now, i say toodle pip toodle pop and have a great week.
Best wishes
Steven

Hi good folk of myspace, heres hoping your having a great weekend so far. We would just like to say a big thankyou to all the bands/acoustic acts who played last nights BAND IN A BOX. We were an engineer down so had everyone on one stage which delayed everyone and everything. I want to say a special thanks to SHAUGHNESSY, we owe you big time for your understanding and also Ste Beard whp has the patience of a saint, hope you managed to fit a pint in Ste, i owe you one mate ;0) Highlights of the night were seeing Col T's face from Ocean bend, big smile on his face and just happy to be back out there doing what he loves. Cedar Falls, unbelievable set and the nicest pair of Rickenbackers my eyeshave ever comes across ( dont read that the wrong way and think Rickenbackers stand for something else! Best guitars money can buy good people ;0), and 9.0.9, can that frontman sing? Yes he can, top frontman in the making me thinks. But overall i loved every single act, Avant Gardner, Benjamin Bose, Jo Bywater, Brakescene ( fantastic people, get to one of there gigs a.s.a.p ) Ocean Bend, Yo-Shi, Calm Project ( steller performance ), because i just simply love music and from the footage ive seen so far, fans of each band wont be dissapointed when they see the dvd if they couldnt make the gig. A huge thanks to Andy "the best of the Northwest" for getting through the sheer volume of bands. Pictures will be available to purchase from www.keyholeproductions.co.uk over the coming days Next BAND IN A BOX night is Saturday July 25th @ The Zanzibar club, another great line up of bands/acts. I will be offline for a week from tomorrow but all enquiries and mail will be picked up on a daily basis by Kris, so drop us a line! Be good, be happy, enjoy the weather and best wishes to all Steven Music Promoter Keyhole Productions

Hi, and heres hoping your week is going well ;0) Heres the latest FEATURE ME artist of the month from KHP, where we put YOUR music on our player and give fans a direct link to your page. Thanks to everyone who has emailed us songs to be featured. If its not on here at the moment, we may still add it or be saving it for Junes FEATURE ME. ***The Calm Project*** Song title : Two faces 1 mirror A mix between Bjork and tracks from Radioheads Kid A can be heard throughout all their tracks which basically means we think they are a class act. So much so that we have them headlining May 30th's BAND IN A BOX. This duo have chilled out music coming out of their ears, and we think it will be a great way to the end the night with what should be a class set. To hear more from The Calm Project go to www.myspace.com/thecalmproject ***Ste Beard*** Song title : A precious minute This guy is one top fella and a real song writer. This is certainly one of his standout tracks, even adding synths into the mix from a man who generally just requires his guitar and vocals do the work for him. Ste will be playing the acoustic stage on Saturday 30th May. To hear more from Ste Beard go to www.myspace.com/thebeardgrows ***Seb Green*** Song title : Bee sting Seb Green will be our second band from Wales following hot on the heels of the truly amazing BenSem, and these people do not dissapoint either with the fantastic track titled Bee Sting. Wonderful vocals complimented by a backdrop of music you know is played by true musicians. We seriously cant wait to see these in action, and these will be playing July 25th's BAND IN A BOX. To hear more from Seb Green go to www.myspace.com/sebgreentheband ***Jo Bywater*** Song title : Fast ant Heres another great live performance from the brilliant Jo Bywater. She has an amazing voice which is complimented by her excellent acoustic style of playing. You can hear more live tracks on her page, and that makes a refreshing change because the music is stripped bare, nothing added, just Jo's voice and guitar so you really get a feel for how good this woman really is. Jo will be playing the acoustic stage at May 30th's BAND IN A BOX. To hear more from Jo Bywater go to www.myspace.com/jobywater ***Mike Dooley*** Song title : Tears This man can sing, seriously sing to the point the hairs on the back of your neck stand up. There isnt a recording desk or producer around who could do this guy justice. What you hear on the recordings on the myspace are just a snippet of how good Mike is. You have to hear him live, i promise you, you will not be dissapointed. Played Aprils BAND IN A BOX, blew me away and he will definitely be back in the very near future. To hear more from Mike Dooley go to www.myspace.com/dooleystar ***Avant Gardner*** Song title : Einstein Kickers Playing May's BAND IN A BOX on the acoustic stage, Einstein kickers is just one of a number of glorious tracks we can look forward to from this amazing musician. The production work on the songs is first class, which tells you this man is serious about the work he puts out for his fans, who i think will be in for a real treat at the end of this month. To hear more from Avant Gardner go to www.myspace.com/avantgardner ***Brakescene*** Song title : Background Boy New track by Brakescene and another accomplished song to add to their stable of already great music. These guys are travelling from Chorley to open up Mays night, so hopefully they will receive a warm Liverpool welcome from the BAND IN A BOX regulars. Great people to deal with, and im really looking forward to what should be a great way to open the night. To hear more from Brakescene go to www.myspace.com/brakescene Future tracks still to come will be from The Violent Playground and SHAUGHNESSY + many more. If you would like to be a KHP "FEATURE ME" artist of the month heres all you have to do. Send us an mp3 of a song of your choice to music@keyholeproductions.co.uk with the title "FEATURE ME" along with details of band/artist name and title track. In the coming days new music packages will be available to view at www.keyholeproductions.co.uk and dont forget to follow us at www.twitter.com/keyholep to receive the latest news and special offers/discounts.
