Wednesday November 25 - Wednesdays & Metal Nite...a Raleigh tradition!

DIVEbar Raleigh's Metal Overdose presents:

Mobile Deathcamp - ex-GWAR!, and Turkey Day is the next day, so hopefully you don't hafta drag yer ass into work early the next day!

Toledo, Ohio has quietly been the home of many really cool things...The Mud Hens, JEEP, and Jamie Farr (Klinger of M*A*S*H fame) to name a few. While touring with Gwar as Beefcake The Mighty, Todd decided it was high time to switch back to his original instrument, guitar, find the right comrades, and begin melting faces with the style of music they REALLY felt in their loins...black swamp speed metal!

Enter the Glass City's latest abomination, MOBILE DEATHCAMP ! !

A vicious metal trio, made up of Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan musical journeymen, these three metal "war horses" have been rippin' it up like this since the FIRST time this style was popular!

In their short, yet vibrant history, this newly organized musical terror pocket has shared the stage with such luminaries as: SLAYER, Cannibal Corpse, GWAR, Behemoth, 3 Inches of Blood, Goatwhore, The Red Chord, Job For A Cowboy, Skeletonwitch, All That Remains, White Chapel, Black Dahlia Murder, Halo of Locusts, Green Jelly, Chimaira, Trivium, Daath, Soilent Green, MushroomHead, Type O Negative, Mensrea, God Forbid, Marilyn Manson, and Hatebreed.

Born to "do it"...MOBILE DEATHCAMP ! !

Here Lies... - face meltin' metal

With a lineup reading more like a who's who list of veteran Raleigh rockers (with members from Blatant Disarray, Iskariot, Dreamscapes Of The Perverse, Bloodwritten, Negative State, Eldritch Horror) Here Lies... started up in '06 as a way for guitarist Craig Hilton to get the creative juices flowing again after spending almost three years with the GnR Tribute band Appetite For Destruction. Dave Sanchez joined shortly thereafter, and Ryan Johnson was brought on board as second shredder.

Rounding out the lineup is new skin basher Justin Valletta from Faith In Ashes, and this will be his first show with the band! Come early and get a spot up front to watch the fretboards smoulder!

$4 Straw-BREE's
$4 Royal Flush
$2.50 High Life Bottles

Friday November 27 - our After Turkey Day metal massacre!

Age Of Despair - diabolical doom metal

Great metal should be larger than life, heavy and played with emotion. This is the essence of Age Of Despair. The band, currently working on their debut record, is the latest in the strong, talent-rich bloodline of the Raleigh, NC music scene which has produced some of metals most influential bands.

Armed with a twin guitar assault featuring ex-Confessor guitarist Shawn McCoy and second guitarist Marcus Williams' swirling, crushing and harmonically diabolical guitars, singer Brian Zuccaro’s primal screams, the powerful precision of drummer Abdala Saghir and bassist Ali Lugo solidly holding down the low end, their music will pummel you into the ground.

Swarm Theory - progressive metal

Catch the buzz! Swarm Theory arrived on the Raleigh scene in early 2008, forging a unique sound that stands alone in a sea of generic copycat artists by playing an eclectic mix of thrash and progressive metal that twists and turns through the sonic landscape, including operatic ballads to all-out mosh pit mosters.

DIVEbar Raleigh is Raleigh's home for FREE original rock n' roll shows.

We pair out-of-town NC area bands together with local Raleigh area talent for original hard rock shows on Friday and Saturday nights.

We only book two bands on these nights (out-of-town band opens for local Raleigh area band).

We are no longer booking traveling/touring acts on SUN/MON/TUES nights.
Sorry guys...we tried it for several months...just didn't work out.

DIVEbar Raleigh has an intimate 100 cap room with PA, mics, monitors and lights.

All of our shows are FREE to the public (21+).
All band members must also be 21+.

We pay each act $$$ for a 45 min set.
Each band member gets 3 free domestic drafts.
If you play covers please keep 'em to a minimum for your DIVEbar Raleigh set.
We enjoy a good cover from time to time, but our primary goal is to support live original rock n' roll, not cover bands or tribute bands.  They get enough gigs.

Load-in for ALL shows is 8pm.
Sound check follows shortly thereafter.
First band usually starts around 10:30-ish.
Second band starts around midnite.

We ask that when you have flyers made for your show to please use the DIVEbar Raleigh logo found in our myspace pics page.

We also request that you don't book additional shows in town 30 days before or after your date at DIVEbar Raleigh.  Booking shows too close together in the same town just hurts turnout and attendance for everyone.

All this sound good to ya'?   Shoot us a msg here on myspace or email me directly at robby@divebarraleigh.com and we'll take it from there!
