Dear Friends,

This was a difficult year.
We went through some essential changes and had to cope with rapidly deteriorating circumstances in the European music-biz.
But, as far as it feels now, I guess we're on the right track.
Mardi Gras. BB is back !
We refurbished the band, the program, the music and recorded a beautiful album to be released around next April.
Stylistically it's  somewhere closer to the "zen rodeo"- and "moonglow" albums. Lots of sousaphone and all N.O.-style double-drumming...
A musical expedition around the world in twelve songs. Like good ole boys' and girls' adventure literature. Pretty romantic...

So sorry, folks !
The Innsbruck-show co-starring "the great bertolinis" has been cancelled by the local promoter.
Sorry for being so late, but we have been terribly busy...
We hope to be able to hit Innsbruck next spring.

Hey Y'all,
just a few more final touches and there it's going to be:
Our new album, a musical trip around the world in twelve songs !
We're all very satisfied and more than happy.
This one takes us back to our finest works, corresponding with the retro-approach
of the "zen rodeo"- and "29 moonglow"-era.
All with the traditional 3 guys-rhythm-section and, of course, loads of horns.
The street-date is supposed to be next year in April.
I'll keep you informed, maybe dropping one or the other snippet of new music...

Looking forward to see you this weekend.
Starting thursday at Fulda, continuing at Kiel on friday and ending up in old Amsterdam's "Paradiso" on saturday. (Predictably seriously  drunk, cryin' in our beers...)

You're going to hear some new stuff, as we're planning to play material from the next album, but also a selection of old "goodies"...

Finally we got what we deserved:
During the "finissage" of the lovely Radebeul festival mg.bb  were sent to the stake under the eyes of an enthiusiastic audience shouting for blood and justice.
Thanks to Christin Maur for catching the mystic moments on celluloid.

Gütersloh did it again !!
Thanks to everybody involved in the Gütersloh festival event last thursday. After the sensational show in 2007 (in the same place) I didn't expect us to be able to compete with that.
But this was truly beautiful. All this drama about the weather and the thunderstorm starting up just in time (at the beginning of the first encore "jungle telegraph"...)
Thanks also to the "Young Sinatras" from Amsterdam. They did such a furious first part and, of course, thanks to  everybody who cared so much about our well-being again.
