Where to start...well, it is true, our band that began back in 2005 has now officially come to an end in 2009. Chris and I (Paul) started the band in 2005 after we were in the band 'The Runway' and we kept vocalist joe from the previous band and he later left the band to pursue other musical things and Chris and I kept playing together and we found Jamba Juice maker Marcus and we kept him as a singer but after a while we felt that we needed a 'different ' vocalist and we built the rest of the band through mutual friends which eventually led us to Omar. Aj and The Risk, yes, The Risk; sometimes known as Marc were in the band about 7 months after it began. This band lineup was set is was 2006 and we had a good following in Downey and our shows began seeing more and more people each time and our myspace plays kept getting higher and higher each time and at one point we were actually in the top 15 bands for Myspace Rock Bands and we would get small label offers here and there and it was really fun for 5 guys who were just playing music because it was fun.
We were lucky enough to play warped tour in 2006 and 2007 and we were named one of Los Angeles' Top 10 unsigned bands and we got to record an e.p. released through an independent label and we got some fun shows with some dope bands and we played countless shows and made priceless memories and many laughs and good times with lots of friends. Club Chris days were fun, ridiculous, but really fun just hanging out chillen with The Crunk and the rest of the crew.
It's kinda cool that we had a decent following having never promoted one show or cd...yes, we were the laziest band youd ever meet, always late, always eating and joking around, but thats what made everything fun! We were not doing the band thing as something super serious we just wanted to write cool music that we would listen to ourselves while we had full time jobs and still going to school. Maybe if we dedicated everything we had to this band things could have been differently? Who knows? The important thing is that it was really fun while it lasted.
After a while our vocalist omar left the band and we got back our old old singer joseph and that 6 month period with him in the band was fun while it lasted as well, we got our cds in Best Buys and we got to play Hot Topic in store stuff and we made our first music video and had good times but after a while things didnt work out with him and we kicked him out of the band. I personally learned a lot being in this band, I got to see who your true friends really are and who is actually doing it for the music and to have fun. Our songs 'Colors' 'Bucca Di Cappo' 'Count It' and some other one were the more popular songs on myspace and those were the songs that helped us get our name around.
This band gave us many priceless memories...good and bad but I have to say that it would not have been the same without those memories! From having our van/trailer stolen with our back-up equipment and merch inside, to literally fighting at our shows, to almost being sued from some guy from europe, to getting pink eye, to almost getting arrested driving to las vegas after a tempe, az show to our van breaking down in the middle of the desert to being ripped off by deusch promoters to being tea-bagged on stage (yes, you read right!) to getting punked out of a sweater to losing/winning money in vegas, all the laughs and good times, everything was worth it!
After we kicked out Joe we realized that adding a new singer to the name Everdae would be too many singer changes and that it is time for something new. We want to thank all of the fans that we met throughout the years who baked us cupcakes and gave us guitar picks and drew us pictures and showed us love! To all the bands who we met and shared the stage with and to all the people who offered to help us out, Justin powell for the tips and for the fun times your dogs licked everyone at your crib. Thank you to everyone who supported us and listened to our music, we will never forget all of you and all of the good times!
Thank you everyone who ever supported us in any way!2005-2009: Paul, Chris, Aj, Marcus, Omar, The Risk, Joe
Everdae may be over, but keep an eye out for a new project...
