Recreating Jay-Z's platinum selling concept album American Gangster, Toronto-based producers Big Sproxx, Mazaman and Lee Harvey mixed soulful samples and golden-era elements to add a Canadian's touch.
Big Sproxx, who is also CEO of 16 Bars Production, was the producer mastermind behind one of Canada's biggest hip-hop singles in 2007 for Born and Raised In The Ghetto (Remix) featuring Point Blank. As the buzz develops for Canadian Gangster, 16 Bars is letting the hype lead towards their predominant project The James Brown Tribute which will be available early 2008 in collaboration with HipHopCanada.com and DJ Law.
