"We at Stillroom HQ were delighted to be mentioned on Belfastmetalheadsreunited click to view. We're looking to expand our already growing fanbase north of the border. Read below what Belfasmetalheadsreunited had to say"This island rocks! Ok, being a blog based in Northern Ireland we're a wee bit biased! But of late it has come to our attention that this island is rockin' like a bastard! Elsewhere on here you can read about the plethora of metal talent emerging (Residual Effect, Sorrowfall, Waylander, Honey for Christ, Bad Boat, Triggerman, Psyatica...to name but a few), but there is also a hard/classic rock rump reaching out to convert the masses! On March 11th The Answer are back to rock Belfast (Mandella Hall) and they have led the New Wave of Irish Hard Rock...and check back soon for an interview here and insight into the inner workings of the juggernaut! While The Answer have been leading the charge, there is a host coming in their wake that deserves to shake the rock music scene on this island to it's core, while at the same time awakening the world to what this small blighted and beknighted isle can achieve! Gaining tour dates with Thunder will, no doubt, expand Glyder's experience, reputation and confidence yet further when they enter the studio to lay down their 2nd CD. Of those bubbling under now, here's a few names to throw out.... Blind Friday...they're still getting a feel for their ultimate direction, but on the strength of their exisiting CD and set-list the right management and promotion will get them there. Commitment will take 'there' even further. Hunger's Mother have been quietly building up their craft, but now comes the decision as to how far they are prepared to go to sate that hunger. And, south of the border is emerging Stillroom. Their self-titled and self-financed debut shows off a band that is both steeped in local heritage and paying homage to global rock gods. The right management and marketing will get Stillroom and others mentioned above to the right level, in front of the right audience, at the right time (now!) Ireland - north and south is rockin' like as bastard, time we got behind the bands and the labels come with their cheque books! Story by Jonny April 07

Tallaght Rockers not standing STILL
Emer Mulvaney (The Echo) 23-11-06
THERE are three definitions of a Stillroom 'Aroom for distilling,''An apartment in a house where liquors, preserves and the like are kept,'and 'The hardest working rock and roll band in Ireland.'
THe last one didn't come from any dictionary. Formed in 2004 in Tallaght Rockband STILLROOM saw five friends come together to achieve one ultimate goal- to make it and the lads, threee of which are childhood friends fron knockmore, have the CV to prove they are doing a damn good jobof realising their dreams.
Fresh from a successful trip to Los Angeles band members James Berkeley, Paul Scott, Dave Ebbs, Dehna Bennett and David Grehan came back on a high to Dublin to take both The HUb and Fibber Magee's by storm earlier this month and this weekend they'll be Rockin' up the Voodoo Lounge as part of the Emergenza Festival.
BAnd member James told The Echo: "Things are going great for us at the moment and LA was a fantasic Experience. "Both gigs intown this month went down brilliant too and we are really looking forward to this weekend where we hope we'll have an equally great turn out to come and support us."
On their Website the band proudly state that in a modern day senario where blood sweat and tear performances are few and far between from bands in a live setting, Stillroom will genuinely recapture the spirit, chemistry and energy of their predecessors.
They include among their influences Guns n' Roses, AC/DC, Bon Jovi, Thin Lizzy and Queen amonf others.
They say the bands's stage presence is highly evidential from the audience participation and the committment to bringing the full entertainment package.
Unuasually, and quite impressively, the band never do cover versions as a rule so if you're ready to Rock prepare to do it some original tunes, Tallaght-style!

Where Do I Start, The plan was to PARTY HARD, WORK HARD and get SIGNED. Armed suitcases and CD's we took on the greatest escapade into ROCKIN' known to man, From the first sip of Booze at Dublin airport we knew this trip was gonna be the best thing we'd ever do. The majority of us were completely blind to what LA had to offer. The innocence wouldn't last long. As soon as the JAGER started flowing and the sessions with ROCK N' ROLL legends like Lemmy and John Corabi, Dizzy Reed, and Gilby Clarke down "The Cat Club" after their gigs with "The Star Fuckers" started happening there was no turning back. Talk about hitting LA in style we lined up 2 cracking Gigs in the best venues in town, "The Cat Club" and "The Roxy" shortly after arriving. Without so much as a guitar with us we had to search for the tools we'd need to plant the STILLROOM name in LA, With thanks to Sabrina firstly for the lend of the guitar and then the Lads in SIR for the great help in hiring out the drums, amps and guitars we needed to ROCK in style. We HIT HARD in the cat club with a full rocking set from start to finish and the crowds were dying to hear more, Then with an equally ROCKIN' set in "The Roxy" and a few extra songs, we stole the show on a powerful Saturday night. Then with offers of more gigs flying in and our time in LA running out we vowed to get our White Irish Asses back to our spiritual home as quick as possible (just waiting on Uncle Sam to give us STILLROOM boys our one way green ticket to heaven). Then the second we hit LA soil we'll being ROCKIN' the stages day and night. There'll be no stopping us. We had an amazing house up the hill form the Whisky a Go Go, bout 3 minutes walk from all the great Rock venues on the strip. It goes without saying that the sessions back there after the pub were crazy, with all sorts happening till all hours details are sketchy in my brain now but I know I had a good time. There were the nights with the piano thanks to Claudio (aka Van Helsing on Smack) and Melrose Larry Green. The amazing John Corabi with his acoustic set, the Jacuzzi nights chillin out till the sun came up and the rest of the sessions that ended up wrecking the whole house. The neighbour of course didn't like us but fuck that it was her own fault for not joining the party. WE'RE ON HOLIDAY!!!!! We were hardly there a day and we were asked what we were doing on Monday night, We'd clearly be drinking but the venue wasn't scripted, the key club we were told METAL SKOOL we had to be there, That we were, walking into the most amazing night "Liquor and Poker" it was the launch of an all female CD doing all male ROCK, The first act were a Zepplin tribute band form San Fran, it was a raunchy sex-fest we loved it. Then we had a look around the place and stumbled across the poker after a few JAGER and a quick hand the sound of the DC was calling and a quick as ya can down a gargle we were upstairs again watching THUND-HER-STRUCK. What a performance it was mind blowing. Then the main event was the Hilarious yet amazing METAL SKOOL, we didn't know what to expect, but we went away delighted and then made Monday night from then on METAL SKOOL NIGHT. How about the yanks, we met some of the greatest people in them 3 weeks. I'm gonna start from the start try remember everyone as we met them, First Sabrina (God we couldn't get rid of her) only messy we LOVE you, your amazing. You made our 3 weeks so easy and great fun and you were always up for a night on the Gargle. That was the first night after that the concept of days went out the window, Susan your next in my blur of a memory with your crazy adventure bus, amazing eye for a photo and unbelievably big snake you ROCK'D. Then came Mel Fuckin Gibson (aka Hollywood Bob aka Bob Murphy aka Murf), you're a Legend BOB you'll go down in STILLROOM history. I'll have to write a separate blog on bob there's that much to talk about. Then There was DAN the best damn Taxi driver in the land, his taxi journeys were no more a trip than a trip back in time to visit the history of LA, it was a lesson in were to go, what to do and how to get there with some dollars still left in your pocket (fucking Armenian's). Everyone in the world should go on one of Dan's Hollywood tours. Then we met the friends of our initial mates; there was Lindsey, Jill, Sarah, Jessica, Auzy Steve, Mick Uzell's double, Michelle + Daughters, Dawn, and SEXY JOCELYN. I know I've missed out on loads I'm sorry JAGERS ONE HELL OF A DRINK. You guys are cool we love you, you all ROCK. Without all of you, we would have met other people. Ha Ha. To Everyone I didn't mention Hi, to everyone else ROCK ON!!!!!!. We'll be back soon. Long live "the campaign to get STILLROOM back to LA". See you all soon. Love Ya's All STILLROOM Check out the video of John Corabi (formerly Motley Crue) back in the gaf playing Blackbird.

..stillroom.., - 1: A room for distilling 2: An apartment in a house where liquors, preserves and the like are kept., 3: The hardest working Rock N Roll band in Ireland!!
Formed in 2004 in Tallaght, Dublin, Stillroom came to be when five friends of shared dreams decided to embark on a journey to achieve a much sought after goal. From a garage in Daves parents house in Rathcoole to the present, Stillroom have worked tirelessly to pave the path of their destiny. However the beginning did produce some teething problems, with Stillrooms wheel of evolution turning out two members, (John Hogan and Ken Hawkins) to be replaced by Dehna Bennett and David Grehan. Fate would have it that Dehna would complete a trio, along with James Berkeley and Paul Scott, of life-long childhood friends from Knockmore in Tallaght and with Dave Ebbs, a long time friend of Pauls, already on board and the addition of another close friend in David Grehan, Stillroom had truly found the prefect chemistry to make their mark. A tight brotherhood of five friends linking together under one roof and drawing influence from each others will for success, the band began to write their tablature of rock. Willing to make ANY sacrifice for a musical break!
Confident in the strength and appeal of their original works the band opened up their first gig on a damp winter night in the rock n roll venue: The Voodoo Lounge without doing a single cover song. A commandment Stillroom have lived by to the present. From the emphatic response the band received from that night, Stillroom have gone on to form a solid rock base in the original music venues around Dublin City where bands such as U2 and Thin Lizzy earned their crust.
In a modern day scenario where blood sweet and tear performances are few and far between from bands in a live setting, Stillroom genuinely recapture the spirit, chemistry and energy of their influences such as Guns n Roses, AC/DC, Bon Jovi, Aerosmith, Queen, Michael Jackson and Prince to name but a few. The bands stage presence is highly evidential from the audience participation and the commitment to bringing the full entertainment package. Stage truly is home for these guys.
Its ground rules and influences that have moulded Stillrooms original back catalogue of crowd pleasing and addictive songs. An ever increasing catalogue of thirty plus songs, the band have the criteria to consolidate real staying power. With classic rock sounding riffs and solos, catchy melodies and lyrics, and elevating choruses, they appeal to not just a rock genre, but a much wider market. Stillroom have something for everyone from absolute potential rock hits such as: Maneater, Stick To Your Guns, Hellraiser and Wild Tonight to power ballads and acoustic numbers, all within keeping to a classic rock sounding foundation, the band pull out all the stops to keep the masses entertained as their gigs have proven.
Stillroom live by 3 golden rules of practice
1. Always bend of over backwards to please the crowd !
2. Never play cover songs !
3. Forever work hard to the bone to get our destined break!
