On October 21 and 22, 2006, three-quarters of OVO gathered in the West Virginia hills to rehearse and lay down tracks for our first release, Supplicant, which we hope to complete by sometime in the spring.
A whole array of instruments has already been brought into play: six-string, twelve-string, and classical guitars; fretted and fretless bass; octave mandolin; strumstick; pennywhistle; recorders; violin; djembe; bells and rattles; synthesizers and effects. There will surely be more.
Supplicant will be a collection of pieces on the themes of petition and submission, to forces divine and eldritch, occult and sublime, sacred and unseelie - a fitting first offering of our work to the world (or Worlds). We'll post more news of it as things continue to happen.

Hail, welcome, and well-met, all who are dropping by our small corner of the MySpace Magickal Musickal Web. If you're here because you've heard our music - thank you! We hope you're enjoying it; there's more to come on the horizon. If you find yourself in need of an introduction: OVO is a quartet (except when we're a trio, or something else entirely) of musicians from Maryland, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania who have given into the temptation to indulge in our taste for progressive, wyrdfolk, and experimental music. The material here is mostly rough cuts, but more and finer will come as we continue work on our first full-length release, now in the works. Step into the moonlit ring; tell nothing you meet your True Name, and stray from the path at your peril. Stars and spheres align - begin, begin. Om Shri Ganeshaya Namah...
