Well, well well... Cannes has in-fact sent us a letter of rejection.
We were all expecting this to happen, but it was worth the shot. After all, "Never Odd Or Even" hung in there as long as it could, making it to the 4 week mark (almost)... that's a whole 2 weeks longer than everyone else!
So anyways, posted below is our rejection, in two languages. 
However, this didn't destroy our hope in NOOE. Somewhere out there... there is a place for Chet Marshall, and this amazing little mock film we have all come to love.

Conformment aux instructions du Festival, les cassettes vido et les dvd adresss au Festival pour la pr-slection ne sont pas renvoys leur expditeur par le Festival, aprs avoir t visionns.
Cependant, toute personne mandate par vous-mme, et de passage Paris dans les locaux du Bureau du Festival, pourra, avant juin 2006, demander rcuprer cette cassette en votre nom.
In accordance with the Festival instructions, the video-tapes and DVDs addressed to the Festival for its pre-selection are not returned by the Festival to the sender, after they have been viewed.
However, anyone authorized by you and passing through Paris, may pick up the video-tape at the Festival's Office, before June 2006.
