Hi folks

Delighted to let you know that the duo album I have made with Jamie McClennan is now complete and available to pre-order now by clicking on the button above or here: PRE-ORDER ADOON WINDING NITH

The album is a project Jamie and I have been working on this year to mark the 250th anniversary of the birth of Scotland's Nation Bard Robert Burns.  The material is largely lesser known Burns songs, some of which we have re-set to new melodies.
Our cover art was done by the wonderful Scottish artist John Johnstone and we'll have merchandise featuring more artwork from John coming very soon.

Adoon Winding Nith will be officially released in stores and online on 9th November.

We have a launch tour of 6 Scottish dates beginning the 23rd October where the album will also be on sale.

Jamie has been very busy building up to the release of his fantastic solo album 'In Transit'.  It's available to buy now here: BUY IN TRANSIT and will be officially released on 2nd Nov.

He's somehow also found the time to overhaul my myspace page and build a new website for our in house record label White Fall Records where you can listen to sample tracks from both 'Adoon Winding Nith' and 'In Transit' along with more info on both releases.
Check it out here: WHITE FALL RECORDS

Songs from Adoon Winding Nith will be added to my myspace page very soon!

Hi folks

Just a quick note to let you know that I'm currently songwriter of the week on BBC Radio Scotland's Iain Anderson Show.
The show's guest host this week, Roddy Hart, will be playing a different track each night from my albums.
You can listen online here: Radio Scotland

Also, I'm on the telly this week on STV's series 'Made In Scotland'.
Filmed in Poosie Nancie's pub in Mauchline (one of Robert Burns' hang outs) I'll be performing and talking with Taggart actor Alex Norton on the STV Television programme "Made in Scotland". The show airs tomorrow evening (30th July, 9pm) on STV or you can watch an extract from the show as Jamie and I perform with Alex here as he sings the Burns song: Green Grow the Rashes, O.

Hi folks

Just letting you know that IF you're in the area of south west Scotland and IF you are looking for a night out then you should come along to New Cample Farm, Thornhill tomorrow night.  Good pals of mine - Nancy Kerr and James Fagan will be launching a brand new concert series at the farm.  Myself and Jamie will be joining them on stage for a few songs too.
Tickets are selling fast so to book call: 01848 332 325.

And then, more good times as we all head down to play the wonderful Brampton Live Festival in Cumbria on Saturday.  Brampton Live is the first English festival I ever played so looking forward to going back and playing the main marequee on Saturday night in a Scottish showcase concert alongside King Creosote and Drever, McCusker, Woomble + the lovely Heidi Talbot and Boo Hewerdine.

I don't think there will be a whole lot of sleeping going on this weekend but I have a handful of new songs to strum on my guitar for a wee sing song round the camp fire (of course there won't really be a camp fire...but you know what I mean)
