A workshop for musicians, singer/songwriters and singers who want to get solid advice and practical techniques on how to OWN the STAGE, DELIVER a GREAT SHOW and ROCK THE HOUSE.

Rock stars or budding rock stars (fab humble songwriters and singer/songwriters too) out there - ever feel like you want to brush up on how you deliver your show on stage without fumbling in front of an audience?

From owning the stage, to reaching your audience through your movements, voice, eyes and actions, to building your entire show on stage: This workshop is for all music artists who perform on stage in any genre or style of music.

G'day peaceful warriors... Really nice to have your email company for a moment as I share with you my monthly newsletter. This is my personal artistry and music news that you get once a month. Just click and you're off and I won't bother you again. If you stay on it, we'll  have so much fun together in our virtual playground.

As most of you know, I'm an Aussie artist living in Hollywood. My adventures are full on, and a lot of what I do is about nurturing other artists, so you'll notice some tips and opps for Artists within this email. Here in L.A we are in June Gloom. Have you ever heard of it? It's where summer is thwarted for a few weeks while a deep fog/haze covers the entire city and we actually experience cold weather. It's amazing how each year the gloom knows it's June. But soon it will be over and the hot, dry weather will permeate everything we do.

In the worx is my new album "The Stillness" which will get out later this year. Constantly in the studio and loving the process. I've written new songs, and pulled out some oldies that never got recorded, and i'm having an absolute blast. You may not know this about me, but while i've been an extravert performer, i've been the quiet songwriter, silently writing songs all the time. I've had songs in films and tv shows and it's just a fantastic journey when i'm in the studio, recording. It's in that place that I am at peace, creatively.  I'm blogging about the album process. 

Also on my blog is a NEW article. Yippee! I spoke at the Musician's Institute in Hollywood last week on this topic: “How to be a successful Artist Entrepreneur – the ins and outs of getting out there as an artist in the business of music”. I just finished it today. So I've now completed the article on this subject and will  be a chapter in my upcoming book, Just Get Out There.

I've just arrived back in L.A from a sojourn in France
and Italy where I got in touch with my soul in a different way. (Me and Monet
on the right). You may not know this about me but I studied art at University
(Bachelor of Education in Visual Arts), so it was wonderful to feel it all the
true way in France and Italy. Also, as most of you know, I am recording my new
album, which I've been producing since early January. I'm now diving back into
that process. Read my blog and read about my trip, and also be part of my album

Drum roll please.... I have two important events this month which I hope you
can be part of. The first is this coming Saturday, Downtown LA, for our Skillz
For Life show, celebrating the CD "Skillz" which I created with
spoken word hip hop artist J.Walker. It's at 1pm and it's oriented for youth,
so if you have any or know any, bring them down. This CD is by far the most
inspirational and revolutionary music project I've ever created and I encourage
you to listen to some tracks if you can't make the show, online at www.skillzcd.com. More details further down

The following Saturday, the 18th, I am co-hosting a
Benefit for my dear friend Deb Flanagan, who has Lou Gehrig's disease. We are
doing a benefit concert in Venice, Ca, and it's also on the internet as a
simulcast so please log in from around the world. I have held a 6 year
friendship with a wonderful human being, Deb Flanagan. Deb has been an active
music enthusiast, promoter and business owner, based out of Austin Texas, for
many years. She has given SO much to my artistry and my label Warrior Girl
Music over the years, and I was saddened to hear that Deb had been diagnosed
with ALS, known as "Lou Gehrig's Disease", which has turned a
vibrant, active woman into someone who has lost many abilities of her body and
degenerating every day. With lack of medical funds i decided to do a Benefit
for her. Please read below about the Benefit and come, if in LA, or log on to
the Internet to watch as well as DONATE!!!!!!

A few other wonderful ingredients in my life that are
making a great sauce include a new music deal I've made for my songwriting, and
the continuation of our Skillz CD launch. All great news and below.
