Lots of stuff going on in the future for the letter red. We are still currently working on our debut EP; we are pushing for a december release date. Songs are sounding good you'll like what you'll hear.

"The Surgeon Tee" is now on sale for only $5.99 and for a limited time only so be sure to order one from our page before we run out!

ALSO I am currently putting together a letter red video, which should be up in the next two weeks so be sure to get that up on your page and tell everyone about it its going to be pretty sweet.

We will be looking for a second guitarist to play with us; so if you know anyone who would be interested let us know. Main requirements:
-dedicated
-good equiptment
-positive attitude/can have a good time
-talent/playing ability(our songs are more complicated and not as basic as the old stuff)
-some sort of transportation
-able to practice with us atleast 3 times a week
-can contribute with writing and can write in the style of the direction we are going
-income$$$ to help pay for recording costs, merch, practice areas, studios etc
..thats pretty much it, as well as some other things but those are the most important

Lastly, we are hoping to start playing shows again around december/january area so feel free to book us!!! We want to play like crazy...

LISTEN TO OUR MUSIC AT THIS LINK TO HELP GET US A SPOT ON ONE OF THE WARPED TOUR DATES:
http://www.battleofthebands.com/bb10/bands/theletterred/

Winners will be decided by the amount of plays the band has on this site, and therefore we need your help in listening to us as much as possible. Remember the play only counts if you listen to the song the entire way through.

ALSO we put up a special UNRELEASED track on that site for you all to enjoy; right now it is entitled "Welcome" To The Rock; but it is still a working title, we just preferred to give it a name rather than just naming it new song...But as for the song it was recorded back in November of 2005 along with 3 other songs and still has not been mastered, but we play it live and just wanted to put it out there even though it is not finished and we are currently re-doing some of its parts and will most likely be putting it on our upcoming EP release!

A new unmastered song should be up for you to hear within the next 24 hours. It will most likely be the opening track of the EP (which still doesn’t have a release date) and won’t be available to download, due to it being the unmastered version (since the EP still hasn’t been mastered). However, you will be able to add it to your profile if you wish to do so. We are doing this so you can get a taste of what we’ve been up to, even though the songs had been recorded a few months ago. We are currently booking shows all over the California area and writing lots of new material. Hopefully you enjoy the song and spread it like crazy; we will most likely be posting another new unmastered song in about two weeks.
On another note we are looking for more shows to play in San Diego, Santa Cruz, San Jose, San Francisco, Oakland etc. Please message us with any details of venues or bands that you have, it will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, theletterred.

Hey everyone we are currently looking for a new bass player, if you play or know of anyone who does than you've come to the right place. We want someone who is serious and wants to do this for a living. Keep in mind we are being seriously looked at by a label so this would mean we will be practicing very often and hopefully tour soon in the future, but this is also a perfect oppurtunity for a lot of people. We would prefer a pure bass player who has their own equiptment, though if you are a guitarist and mesh well with us and understand the style we are going for than that could be a possibility. In order that we dont get several random messages just saying PICK ME!!! please copy these questions and fill them out then send them to us, if you are interested in trying out. 1. How old are you? 2. How long have you been playing? 3. Have you been in bands before? If so, which ones? 4. What equipment do you use? 5. Top 5 influences (bands)? 6. Where do you live? And, do you have a valid source of transportation? 7. Anything else that you could help contribute to the letter red? Either send it back to us as a message on this myspace or to theletterredband@yahoo.com thanks! -theletterred

was amazing thanx to all of you who came and watched us and supported this good cause. I know Arthur would've loved to be there and would greatly appreciate all of you for coming; he will always remain in our hearts. That guy supported the letter red a lot, so this is the least we could do. The crowd response was awesome, especially all of the dancers-they should start a letter red dance team. Anyways, that show was so much fun, that's why we play music, for shows like that. Thank you all. Invite us back to the chain!!

Here is a show review of The Letter Red @ The Knitting Factory in Highwire Daze Magazine: "Earlier in the evening, The Letter Red from Pasadena played the Alterknit Lounge and nearly blew the roof off the little side stage. They had all the hardcore bands playing in the little room that barely fits 50 people, and the pit was bordering on lethal-not to mention the heat! The Letter Red is definitely influenced by bands such as Norma Jean and The Chariot and fortunately they also share the intensity and sheer creativity of the forementioned bands. The musicianship in this band is superb, featuring searing guitars, a pulsating bass, and tighter than hell drum work. The enigmatic vocalist Travis is all over the stage, screaming out the lyrics with a fierce passion and conviction. The Letter Red's set was powerful, and definitely sent the early arrivers into a mosh pit frenzy. Next time they play The Knitting Factory, someone should book them in a bigger room. Those into the best post hardcore must check out The Letter Red and give to these guys our undying support. Any band who does a song about Sean Connery is certainly the epitome of coolness!"

We will be recording two of our songs this Saturday January 8th. They will be posted on myspace and purevolume by the following day, so be sure to check those out we are very excited to finally get some stuff out for people to hear. We are only recording two songs for now, just for a demo to pass out and what not, but hopefully in a couple months we will go back into the studio and record 4-5 songs for our ep which will be even more awsome. Jerry wants everyone to know that he has some more items up on ebay and that his shower is the best shower in the world..that is all.. -Jamie (i am the guitarist, and harris is the guy dancing in our icon...and kyle too...kyle isidro...he plays guitar too...and he does not enjoy playing shows with cons..)
