Current mood:  artistic
Okay, so for over a month now i've had absolutely fantastic news related to my last blog post but it's still under wraps for now and once my agent gives me the go ahead, I will happily announce!

In the meantime, my OTHER goods news is art related.  I got the call today that my artwork was accepted into 20-20 Event at the 20th Street Gallery in midtown. Basically, I will be doing 20 pieces of art (from a theme a chose) on 8x8 panel which will be up on display and for sale November 24-December 24th. I can't wait to get started. My theme is Fairytales, which I will depict specific characters or events from the classics, using my style. Think dark but whimsical.

Next weekend, September 12th, I will be participating in the 2nd Saturday Artwalk in midtown. I will be stationed outside Zelda's at a table with my matted/framed art and some of my larger canvas work will be hanging on the outside wall. Stop by and say Hi! I'll be doing a drawing for a free giveaway too!

Check out some of my art on my other site RoCo Ink.  Currently doing commissioned work too, so if interested let me know!

Current mood:  nervous
Tomorrow Alexander is being admitted into Kaiser Roseville for an MRI. He will be put under IV Anesthesia for 60-75 min.

The last two days we've spent several hours at the Dr. He seemed to have a cold, but then it turned into a day of nausea and vomiting, and he complained of headaches for several days. Monday he got a droopy eye lid on his left eye.

After seeing two pediatricians and the pediatric eye doctor, the good news is that it doesn't  seem like there's any cerebral pressure because his pupils on both eyes are the same in size. The same nerves that control the eye lid also control the pupils. Also, he doesn't seem to have any other muscle weakness in his body. Right now he is active and playful and as normal as ever. No more nausea and Alex says his head hurts "only a little bit" now.

The pediatrician and eye Dr. took pictures of his eyes and sent the report over to neurology. The neurologist contacted the pediatrician before we went back in today and wanted to schedule the MRI. Almost immediately after that, Radiology called to set up the appointment.

Originally, his Dr. wanted to do a CT Scan today. The neurologist was against that because the high levels of radiation he would be exposed to is such a risk to a child that age. There are future risks which would include cancer even as far as 30-40years from now. The MRI also has risks because, well, anytime a child has to be put under it's risky.

Anyways, please keep him in your prayers. I'm confident everything will be fine and they'll figure out what's wrong.

Sammy got his first tooth in two weeks ago (bottom). A few days ago he got his second tooth in. My baby is growing up! He's been walking while holding onto things for well over a month now, but now he's trying to stand on his own. Unsuccessfully, but trying.  Alexander first starting walking at the end of 10 months, so I think Sam will be close behind.  Oh, and he got his first hair cut/trim this morning. The front of his hair was almost to his nose. He couldn't ever see so I snipped off the ends so he looks like less of sheepdog :)

I blame this next part on Carl. I'm not sure how he did this, but I'm certain he did. Sammy LOVES Starwars. How does a just now 10 month old become obsessed with the Starwars theme music? The minute he hears the music (usually when Alex is playing the Xbox game) he stops everything he's doing and dance-crawls his way to the tv, pulls himself up, and starts dancing uncontrollably. He stops the minute the music stops, and he does this every. single. time. Sammy was my last hope but somehow has been corrupted into this world of fantasy already.

Christian is doing exceptionally well. Aside from being a GATE student for the fourth year in a row, his first report card was outstanding, the best he's ever had. he's advanced grade level in just about everything. And get this--his behavior--all Outstanding!! He's really made progress and I'm so proud of him!

Alexander had his first dental appointment. I'll post a pic soon. He was all smiles. Mainly because they didn't do anything to him and gave him lots of toys and goodies. He's been learning a lot in preschool, can write out his full first and last name, identify some letters, count to 15, and he's becoming very good at drawing/coloring. I don't think I've ever seen a 3yrs old stay perfectly inside the lines all the time. He must get his talents from me  That's right, I was the all time coloring contest winner of 7 year olds.

I'm back to work early hours again. At work every day at 5am. I love the hours though because I get to spend so much more time with the kids. It feels like a day off after I've been home for a bit. I'm not taking any classes this semester, but plan on it next semester. I've been doing a lot with my writing though and have been asked by the paper Foolish Times to be a regular monthly contributor.

Those are some of the updates for now, since it's been awhile.

xoxo

Current mood:  bouncy

I'm an editor now at BellaOnline for the jokes and humor section. **Visit my site here** With over 17 million hits a month, it's the 2 site on the web ran by women.

I'm completely in charge of the content for my site and I'm currently overwritting all the previous content published. I have a humor forum and a free weekly newsletter that I send out, so check it out!

Reasons why you should sign up for the FREE weekly Newsletter:
1. Laughing 15 minutes a day could help you lose weight. No joke!
2. Laughter is contagious (and the one thing you want to catch)
3. Laughter may reduce your risk of heart disease (this is serious stuff!)
4. Nobody has ever died laughing. Have they?
5. Smiling reduces tension, improves your immune system, and makes
you look pretty.

But wait…that's not all!
I would also like to invite you to visit the Jokes Forum .You can share your slapstick stories, gut-bustin' jokes, and get in touch with other people who share your sense of humor. But remember, wait an hour after laughing before swimming. Right now we're discussing weird phobia's and Kamikaze Squirrels that have taken over a neighborhood.

For suggestions on articles or links, or ideas about what you would like to see on the site, you can contact me at Jokes@BellaOnline.com  I would also be happy to review sites or products- humor books, CD's or DVD's and any other joke oriented materials.

**Coming soon** Contests and more!

Tip: Always borrow money from a pessimist. He won't expect it back.
