    We had a great time in Metz last week playing at L'Emile Vache. Many thanks to Florian for making it such an enjoyable trip.

 Looking forward to playing in for Sounds in the Suburbs in Scotland as always.The Sexual Objects are special guests in Edinburgh and Glasgow. Then we're revisiting the Cluny in Newcastle on the way back.

  The first GNU INC cd has done very well, with the 2nd in production- 1990's Sectioned.This is an eclectic compilation of tracks from Sans End,Trouble, End of the Surrey People and Long Term Side Effects. We are hoping to have it out by christmas.

We are concentrating on finishing the new album 'We Come as Aliens', due for release in 2010 on Aufgeladen und Bereit,so we aren't doing many gigs between now and next May,just Hastings,London and on 30th May we are very pleased to be playing at Strummerfest in Manchester.BUT we are then doing a few dates in Europe to promote the new album.

    Our gig on 15/11/2008,for Sounds in the Suburbs, at Stereo in Glasgow , was recorded for us by Shock and Awe, ably assisted by Shona, the sound engineer at Stereo.We have produced a VERY limited edition cd 'Live in Stereo' , which is the first release from GNU INC.Numbers 1-99 out of a total of 107 will be available from 8th August. The cd will be previewed on that date at Henrys Cellar Bar, Edinburgh.Details on Shock and Awe flyer and www.myspace.com/shockandawemusic.

''Live in Stereo will be available at gigs and a few other places, to be confirmed.(Ebay once we've worked out how to do fixed prices)
Look out for reviews in a couple of weeks in POPnews and Mudkiss and Artrocker magazine.

The next GNU INC release is going to be a vinyl ep of the 4 finished Blackpool tracks. In the meantime, the track Blackpool is on Big Pink Cake's compilation, 'Piece of Cake', info at www.myspace.com/bigpinkcake
and a live version is on 'Live in Stereo'

I'll also have copies at our gigs.

We're back at the Wheatsheaf,Oxford and The Thunderbolt, Bristol in September and off to Spain and France in November. We'll be back playing for Sounds in the Suburbs in Glasgow and Edinburgh on 4th/5th December and very happy to be returning to do a gig in Newcastle on the 6th.      

    Back from Scotland and as usual we all enjoyed ourselves immensely

       .Many thanks to Alan of Sounds in the Suburbs for Edinburgh and

       Glasgow and Hen from the Tunnels in Aberdeen. It was great to

       play Rot with me again with the Leopards in Glasgow.

            The S Objects (Davy Henderson,Douglas MacIntyre etc) were

        the  special guests.
