And patterns of thought which control him, he will defend and protect those
Beliefs and patterns of thought virtually with his last dying effort…
Mental slavery is a condition effecting people regardless of their race, nationality
Or economic status. The perceptions of reality that you have in your mind will either
Free you or keep you enslaved.
Many people mistakenly believe that money will bring them happiness, but money without
Consciousness will usually lead to self destruction of some form or another.
Take for example entertainers who serve as larger-than-life role models for most youth and
Many adults. They have money and fame, but most lack a sense of security and cultural identity
One can only look forward too climbing out of the pit of poverty for a less stressful life.
Many of the problems we see in the in the African American communities throughout the
Country can be traced to negative self-images instilled in us from birth and perpetuated by
The media to which we expose ourselves. Television is the most powerful form of mass
Communication in the world. It stimulates emotion while simultaneously diminishing thought
And creativity. Television programming presents a quick fix to complex problems while exploiting
The fears and manipulating the desires of the viewer. The more one watches television, the more
Detached one becomes to reality. It is as addictive as alcohol, cigarettes, or crack cocaine.
To many, television is viewed as simply a form of entertainment, but anytime a people spend more time
Being entertained than being taught the core values of knowledge of self, these people and there offspring, will become a burden to society. Most of the roles being played by African Americans on
Television are limited to situation comedies. Very few, if any, have been featured in dramas or as characters representing integrity and substance and decent family values. Other ethnic groups understand the power of television and they exercise a sense of cultural responsibility by seeing to it
That there group is represented in a balanced manner.
On the whole, African Americans are so starved for images that they will accept a negative image of themselves over none at all.
Consider the fact that the church is the most powerful institution within the African American
Community. It is the only financially viable organization that we own and operate. The church has been the base from which our civil rights movement evolved, our political leaders honed there thinking skills,
And it has been the source of all our music. If this institution means so much to our community , why would we allow a television program to make a mockery of it, it's pastors, deacons, and the congregation.
In light of the extreme difficulties facing African Americans, it is important that new strategies be developed and implemented to ensure our survival. The important part of any plan must include the mental, physical, and cultural nourishing of African American children, and a swift self identification
Of our most precious resource, the African American woman. They are the ones who will be confronted
With racist stereotypes in the media, the classroom, and society. A constant diet of hopelessness
Will ultimately darken there mental skies and make them believe (with some justice) that the
future is bleak, and they will, therefore, develop the self-destructive behavior patterns so many of our
youth currently exhibit. Building self-esteem in any child is an arduous task, and building self-esteem
in the African American child is even more difficult, but it can be accomplished.
Some suggest that TV has the potential of reversing the evolution of the human brain.
Some feel that the electronic media, unstable family patterns, hectic lifestyles, and poor teaching methods all contribute to the changing of the brain structure within children. What children see and hear and do on a daily basis changes there brain's function and structure. Any activity engaging a childs interest will stimulate the imagination and enrich the brain. So I feel it is up to the people of African
Descent to guide our youth before there guided to the pen.
Consequently, in the interest of the future world order, peace, and tranquility, it was decided to wage
A quiet war against the American public with an ultimate objective of permanently shifting the natural

The name the a people calls themselves must provide them with a understanding of their history by connecting them to a land mass, a language, a culture, a religion, a philosophy, and so on. If a people's name fails to accomplish these simple tasks, there name is useless. History should also

Descent to land, history and the culture. When people are free to travel and immigrate to other lands, they usually bring there name, language, and culture with them. The European who immigrated to America, would later insist on his independence from England, but there cultural orientation remained

What then would you call an African who has been enslaved mentally and physically, transported
