Please show support and solidarity with displaced in South Africa

Peace fam,

Thanks for taking time out to read this. I'm sure by now you've about the 'xenophobic' violence against and displacement of thousands of our brothers and sisters in parts of South Africa. I will refrain (for now) from expressing my deep disappointment and disgust at what's happening. If you are in SA (especially in and around Gauteng - and now Durban), please see what you can do to assist. Below, you'll find contact details of people you can contact to contribute food, clothing, or whatever you can. Also, please pass the info around. Pharoahe 's Desire's got me pulling faces

I rarely plug stuff, but I copped a copy of Pharoahe's Desire over the weekend and it has been on repeat since. During the 80s in South Africa it was difficult getting hold of the good shit when we were generally bombarded with really bad British pop music. Desire kinda felt like the first time I heard Hijack's Style Wars or LL's BAD. Earlier today I sat on the train listening to the album, pulling my face like someone let out a fart (ya know, the face many headz make when we hear or see some really impressive shit) and this old lady asked me if I was ok. I just smiled and said 'yes, thank you. i usually pull my face like that when i get good news'.
