We have begun working on post production. We recorded a few sound FX last weekend and we will continue to build the sound library for the next few weeks.

I decided early on that I was going to replace almost every piece of audio in the film. I could not afford to have an experienced sound person on set so I did not bother with trying to record sound wild. It would have just taken up way to much time on set. I just used my on camera mic to get reference sound.

Sound is an element that is often overlooked in independent films. Bad audio is the first sign of an armature movie. I have had to stop watching some movies that looked great but used on camera sound throughout the film.

I have also started working on the visual FX for the few shots we have in the film. We only have 9 visual FX shots in this film so it should not be too difficult to tackle. I tried to work out every detail I could think of before we shot the scenes. However, now that I am looking at the edited footage some of my original plans for the VFX won't work. So it is time to get creative.
