Dates for our November east coast tour with the fantastic Eulogies from the US have been announced. Eulogies have been getting plenty of spins on JJJ of late and we can't wait to tour with them.

Here's the write up and dates

Renowned for their explosive live performance Newcastle sextet The Seabellies announce their long awaited return to touring bringing with them friends, LA band Eulogies.

2008 climaxed for The Seabellies with a blistering set in New Yorks CMJ Festival and a series of shows across the USA where they befriended (and borrowed backline from) hip Los Angelino band Eulogies. Now back on Australian soil The Seabellies return the favour.

This will be Eulogies first Australian tour and lead singer / songwriter Peter Walker commented we are overjoyed about coming over there, it's been a wish of ours for a long long time. This will be the first run of dates for The Seabellies since commencing work with ARIA Award winning producer Wayne Connolly (Paul Dempsey) and they are looking forward to showcasing new material from their forthcoming album, By Limbo Lake.

Both artists are enjoying substantial support from national broadcaster Triple J. The Seabellies with debut single Orange X, and Eulogies with Two Can Play taken from Here Anonymous through Dangerbird Records/Albert Productions.
To celebrate reuniting these artists, punters who pre-purchase tickets will be eligible to receive a limited edition 7 vinyl pack & digital download featuring music from both artists. A donation from ticket sales on this tour will be donated to the Pablove Foundation, dedicated to fighting childhood cancer with love. The Orange X tour is a genuine event not to be missed this November.

pretty happy today.. get to clear the head and get out of the studio! we've layed down everything we can to the tracks for the album, and last night started packing up and leaving our temporary residence of the last month.. t, steph and ed are going back in to lay down a couple of extra things tomorrow but it's almost at the point where we can say.... done! of course there's mixing (very soon) but still quite pleased to be out of there today..
I forgot to post these vids on myspace, it's our tour diary from the US.. enjoy getting to know our stupid side..

Hey people of the blog
We have been doing a bit of online stuff of late, our sites like the blogspot, twitter and facebook have been getting a run so if you'd like to keep up with the studio entries and any videos such as our american tour diary on youtube then you can access them from the myspace page..
so we're into day 8 of recording, and we're laying down our 11th track as we speak.. I am sitting it out as my guitar is an overdub. i know what you're thinking, 'why is he telling us this, I don't care'. I agree.
But please check our blogspot out every now and then and comment at will! We like hearing back from you, sometimes it feels like we're only writing to our parents on here. Hi mum.

It's been a long time coming! This is the clip for Feel It Leave.. It was mostly shot on tour in the US on our hand held, and a large portion of stage footage was shot by our (I'm gonna call him sidekick) good friend Grant Campbell..you will see him close to the end of this clip (although you may mistake him for Billy Corgan).. and we hope you enjoy..

hello blog world

well, we're 3 weeks away from heading into the studio and we've almost finished demoing our last batch of potentials.. it's a nice long list that needs to be cut down from the last 3 years of gigging. i'll post a pic of our band room whiteboard, but for now the track listing is unkown and there's already an album name in the works so it's purposefully blurred! sorry (we'd like to surprise you is all).. take some guesses if you like.. but there's been a recent surge of new material we haven't played live yet

but into the recording process we'll all be blogging a ton on here (and at http://theseabellies.blogspot.com/), and putting videos from inside the studio up on the tube.. so you may hear glimpses of our album there.. maybe..

but stay tuned, it's all exciting for us. we can't wait for you all to hear it

Hey everyone,
The Seabellies HQ would love to have your hands, faces and voices to help us spread the word in 2009. We need all sorts of Seabellies loving people from all sorts of places to do all sorts of things over the coming year (and into the future...) as part of the Official Seabellies Street Team. Merching, email lists, postering, bringing up The Seabellies in random conversation, generally being wonderful, you know the deal

Shoot me an email at theseabellies@live.com.au if you want to be a part of this- it's all very exciting!
