Never look back: The infamous Bat-girl image was the first art piece ever created for The 1st Annual Halloween Art exhibit back in 1998. Strangely enough, she was never actually used as an official HAE poster...till now.

For over 10 years, The Annual Halloween Art Exhibit (HAE) has captured audiences & artists from around the country in its devotion to the theme of All Hallow's Eve as Fine Art. Produced by monster artist Scott Jackson and directed by spooky artist Chad Savage, The National showcase features works from over 70 top name and upcoming talents such as Dan Brereton (Nocturnals, Rob Zombie), Eric Pigors (Toxic Toons), Tim Turner (IAHA, Disney), Mike Soznowski (Hanna Barbera) and many others. The HAE also publishes Black Cat 13! Magazine and planning a retrospective art book to drop on the Halloween masses this October.

  In a special exhibition celebrating Halloween/ Horror Conventions, The HAE is delighted to bring its mini version of the annual event to this years' premiere haunters’ convention HAUNT CON. Visitors can peruse the gallery while artists can find out more about joining it's spooky mission and selling art. It Ain’t Over ‘till the Jack O’ lantern sings! The Annual Halloween Art Exhibit & The Orphanage team up for "HALLOWEEN IN MARCH", a celebration of art, live music, magic and costume ball all in the Halloween vein!

  For years, this South side gallery gem known as "The Orphanage" has been host to artists of all media and performance, regularly featuring showcases every Sunday in it's spacious gallery. This March, the Orphanage acknowledges it being halfway to Halloween with this month long tribute to world's greatest play day. Chicago's own "Annual Halloween Art Exhibit" will bring the best of its national showcase of Halloween Art to haunt the house and horrify the halls. Well known spooky artists include: Scott Jackson (Megadeth, Rock'n'Roll comics), Chad Savage (Sinister Visions), JoJo Baby (Clive Barker documentary), Eric Pigors (Toxic Toons, Disney) Dan Brereton (Nocturnals) along with top & upcoming talents from all over the country.  A great line-up of Music performers bringing their haunting riffs all month long include: Pete Jive & Juice Digits, Merlin, Allison & Victor, Donna Frost, The Infusions, Ami Saraiya, Anna Soltys, One Drum Shoe, Lies Like Me, Pat Dougherty & The Second-hand Opera, Shining Through, Adalia, Brianna Lane, Cahalen David Morrison, The Belmondos, EaVil and more to be added!

The National showcase of Halloween Art continues it's series of showcases this year with a very special contest and art exhibit! Chicago's 1901 Gallery has been serving up some of the finest dark art exhibitions & performances we know! "Zombie Pin-Ups" is the brain child of HAE associate director Chad Savage. It was eminent for a crossover with the Annual Halloween Art Exhibit, and now that time has arrived! Join us the last weekend in May when Halloween Art is in full bloom and the best dressed zombies walk away with the prizes! Guest DJ's, performances and a ghastly great time is in store for those not afraid!
