Dear Everybody:

It is my unpleasant duty to inform you that our dear Geoff Perrin will be soon leaving the fold.  It is on amicable terms that geoff has made his decision and it is based on differences of musical opinion.  Graciously, Sir  Perrin has agreed to stay on until we find a new percussionist to take his place.

Heretofore, we are looking for a drummist or percussionist type person (we are open to new ideas).  This person should be from the Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti area and must be able to attend practices in Ypsilanti beginning in September.  If one can begin earlier than that, practices are to be held in Northville.  Both genders are encouraged.

The musical style should be rather evident from the myspace samples: Intelligent, time signature switching, generally fast paced and often dancey.  This drummist should be a very capable musician, but not a flashy one.  This drummist must be willing to take orders and will not be writing his/her own material perhaps as often as he/she would like. That being said, this person will be most welcome to bring ideas that very well could be used.  The point being, that whatever is best for the final product (the song) is what we want.

Genuine stage presence is a must.

This is a serious group that makes serious music, but has a lot of fun doing so and jokes around often.

Artists I hope we both hold in high regard: Rufus Wainwright, Tchaikovsky, Radiohead, Devo, David Bowie, Wes Montgomery, Tom Waits, Miles Davis, The Postal Service, Cursive, Murder by Death, Thelonius Monk, Chopin and Phantom Planet.
