Where to buy the new VNV Album and Tour Tickets

So far, the reviews have been astounding, more than we could have ever hoped for. Here are two to get you going ALL MUSIC and SPHERE.

NORTH AMERICAN TOUR - Part 1

As you know by now, and if you don't you do now, we start our North American tour this Saturday in LA with special guests War Tapes and Ayria.

Links to each venue and where you can buy tickets can be found on THIS blog entry. If, like us, you balk at excessive service charges (oh I wish we had the power, I really do), call the venue directly, find out about ticket availability and get your tickets at the box office in advance or on showday, if you can.

We have an awesome tour planned for you with all the energy and atmosphere that you have come to know us for. With the new album, there's a lot of new songs to add to the songs you will undoubtedly want to hear, under threat of dragging us into the street to lynch us, so we'll be varying the setlist as we go.

If were not playing near you on this part of the tour, remember this is just Part 1.

As for the Europeans, our tour will run from September 2nd through to the middle of October with other places getting visits after that. All the 10000% confirmed dates are online with more to come.

New Album - Of Faith, Power and Glory

Our new album, "Of Faith, Power and Glory" is out June 19th in Europe and June 23rd in North America, right before the North American tour starts in Los Angeles on June 27th.

We've just posted a preview of the album on our Myspace page to give you a taste of what to expect. Last week, we posted "Tomorrow never comes" from the album which has had near 20,000 plays in a matter of a few days and some incredible reactions from listeners.

The new album comes in 100% recycled and environmentally friendly packaging (post consumer-use paper, vegetable inks, water based coatings and glues).

New Album Preview - track posted

Your help needed for our Street Team and DJ/Press Pool

Hi there,

There are 3 things we'd really like your help with. Please read through this as some of this will definitely involve you.

PROMOTING THE NEW ALBUM AND TOUR

Since starting our own independent North American label, Anachron America, we want make as much of an impact with the upcoming album and tour as is possible. We need your help promoting both the album release and any of the tour shows happening in your city, or in a city close to you (within a few hours drive). We want to ensure that everyone knows both are happening. We need you to post news about both onto any internet site or forum where you think it could be featured - music sites, event listings, lifestyle sites, local and national forums, anywhere you can think of where it would make sense. Put the news in your email signature, tell your friends, put it as your status in your chat program - whatever you can think of that gets the news out and doesn't violate the laws of your fair lands. Please remember to be courteous when posting and be careful not to do anything that will get you labelled as a spammer ;) Even if you don't think you can help us directly, perhaps you know someone who can - a DJ, a Radio show, anyone you think can get the message out. We're all part of one big network and we really need your help to get the message out.

Here's the short version of the news we need you to post (elaborate with any additional information you feel like adding)

The new VNV Nation album, "Of Faith, Power and Glory" comes out in Europe on June 19th and in North America June 23rd.

The first part of VNV Nation's "Faith, Power and Glory" North American tour starts on June 27tth (tourdates are on www.myspace.com/vnvnation and www.vnvnation.com)

STREET TEAM

We are also looking for two people from each of the following cities to join our Street Team to help promote shows in : ST.PAUL, DETROIT, CLEVELAND, DALLAS, SAN ANTONIO and TEMPE/PHOENIX. What we need are people to get information about the shows online, get flyers out to stores and locations where people who would like to know about the VNV Nation show can see it, and to get posters into clubs, record stores and any place you think that someone who would want to know about the show would go. We're only asking for two people from each of these cities. If this is where you're located, you're 18 or older, and you want to help, email us at : street-team@anachronsounds.de. Please don't message us via our myspace account. We'll get the first two we pick in touch with our promotion co-ordinator to set you up. We will also ensure that those helping us are rewarded for their assistance. If you're not in or nearby to one of those cities, it doesn't mean we don't need you, it's just that those shows are already covered, for the moment.

DJ/PRESS POOL

As part of our new label's setup, we've been actively building up our International DJ and Press pool. If you're an active DJ in a Club or on a Radio Show, or you write articles for a magazine or webzine, we'd very much like to have you on our e-Promo list. If you didn't get the e-Promo for the Reformation 01 box set, a month ago, then you're either not on our list or your spam filter is set to "destroy". We don't send out CDs as the e-Promo service provides you with the tracks digitally.

The e-Promo for the new album, "Of Faith, Power and Glory" goes out next week. If you would like to be on the list to receive it via our ePromo pool, go to the link below and follow the instructions about how you can apply to join

North American Tour Update and Ticket Links

Hello Friends,
As most of you know, the Faith, Power and Glory World Tour kicks off in LA on June 27th. We'll be joined on the tour by the amazing War Tapes from Los Angeles and, a recent addition, the rather splendid electro punk diva herself, Ayria from Toronto. This is definitely going to be a great tour, with something for everyone, except perhaps those who were hoping for a bit of skiffle.

The other big news is that the tour is being presented by Hot Topic which is something we're very excited about. You probably don't know this but, over the years, HT has been instrumental in people being able to find out about VNV Nation and have access to their releases, not to mention a lot of other bands who might otherwise have gone relatively unknown, plus we always get a kick out of seeing their stores smack bang in the middle of bland, conservative homogeny in a mall. We've been long-time supporters of theirs for a number of good reasons and so, we're very happy about this news. No, it doesn't mean there'll now be a chance to buy action figurines of us with makeup that looks like someone tried to paint a panda face on us while on medication but if that's your thing, papier maché is only limited by your imagination.

The North American dates in June/July are just the "first part". There will be a second part with a lot more dates later in the year.

2009 Tour Tickets are now on sale

Tickets for the 2009 "Faith, Power and Glory" Tour are now on sale.

On our myspace page, you'll find a handy widget (below the list of blogs) where you can buy your tickets directly for the North American tour through us, courtesy of Artist Arena. This is something we arranged, so you can avoid the excess charges that other online ticket outlets may charge.

From Saturday, May 2nd, venues will sell tickets through their normal outlets so get your tickets now. Buy Tickets from Artist Arena from their VNV Tour page. https://tix.artistarena.com/vnvnation/ (if this link doesn't work it's because of a quirk with how Myspace handles links - copy and paste).

If you have tech issues completing a purchase, it might be your browser. We've heard from a few people having trouble using Firefox (which is kinda weird considering the number of people using it).

NEW : Album Info "Of Faith, Power and Glory"

The new album will be released on June 19th in Europe and on June 23rd in North America.

The album cover was designed by Michal Karcz, who also created the artwork for the album "Judgement". It is undoubtedly one of his finest works. The image of a momument, in the middle of a wasteland, is a metaphor for all our greatest hopes and solemn intentions and the brutal extremes that we're capable of, our schizophrenic nature as humans and the eternal struggle to move forward.

In sound, the album moves on from where Judgement left off, taking the VNV Nation sound a firm step forward. It is an album that is, at times, soulful and anthemic while, at other times, it is raw and uncompromising.
