konsonans retro are a family brass band from Kodyma, Odessa region, Ukraine - and to many the cultiest and freshest new world music act to come out of Eastern Europe. For generations - and through countless hot nights - the Baranovsky family and their in-laws have been passionately playing the wild and sweet wedding music of Podolia, a powerful and soul-stirring blend of Moldovan, Ukrainian and unique Jewish tunes.

Imigrant Radio berichtet: seit einer Woche laufen die Aufnahmen für die erste Platte von RotFront, "Emigrantski Raggamuffin". Die Band arbeitet im Phlexton Studio mit dem Produzenten Kraans De Lutin (Tiger HiFi, Mellow Mark, Martin Jondo, Culcha Candela) zusammen, und müsste bis Ende Juni mit den Aufnahmen fertig sein! Die Platte wird voraussichtlich 16 Wodka Hits enthalten, u.a. Klezmerton, Emigrantski Raggamuffin und Sovietoblaster.Die erste Kostprobe gibts in unserem MySpace-Player - Berlin STyLE!



Immigrant Radio announes: the recording sessions for the first album of RotFront, "Emigrantski Raggamuffin", started last week. The band is in the Phlexton Studio together with their producer, Kraans De Lutin (Tiger HiFi, Mellow Mark, Martin Jondo, Culcha Candela). The recording should be finished in the middle of june. The album will contain 16 wodka hits, among which are Klezmerton, Emigrantski Raggamuffin und Sovietoblaster.The brand new version of Berlin STyLE can already be heard in our MySpace-Player!

After five months of RF-Soundsystem existence (playback with singers / MC / DJ / melodica / trombone) RotFront is coming back as a band, performing old and new songs in with a new lineup - this Thursday, 16.03 in Kaffee Burger (of course!) (Torstr. 60, Berlin-Mitte)
