This year started pretty good..

To begin with, it was a pleasure collaborating with good friends
"The Martinez brothers" and releasing the result under the title "Debbie
Downer" on Objektivity.

My remix for "Subtellite" was just released on Cocoon records after Timo Maas's interesting audio parts appeared in my inbox 6 months ago.
The result is a trippy long techno-ish remix, which at the very end features a really short speech by a Greek dictator from the 60s. This vicious political figure went pretty far with his sick plans but at the end he fortunately got
overthrown in 1973 and stayed in prison until he died.
That's enough sarcasm on a remix for the rest of the year...

The most interesting thing so far has to be the birth of my own label "These Days".
"Day One", the first release, was released 2 weeks ago and i am proud to say that the feedback is already very encouraging.
"Day Two" comes out really soon in April and features: one surprise,
a remix and the new Argy & The Martinez Brothers bomb..

Last but not least, i just compiled and mixed a new Cavo Paradiso compilation for this coming summer.

More information soon.

So far so good.

OUT NOW ON VINYL!!!

DIGITAL RELEASE AVAILABLE JAN. 6 THROUGH BEATPORT.

About this single:

Berlin based Greek producer Argy has been making a name for himself with his "Focus on: Argy" album for Poker Flat, releases on Raum, Cocooon, Liebe Details and collaborations with Jerome Sydenham. The Martinez Brothers previously worked with Dennis Ferrer on their debut single (also released on Objektivity) - of Argy they say - "We admire his work, so to be able to collaborate with him was amazing... The chemisty we had in the studio was off the hook, and it definetly shows in 'Debbie Downer'." It appears the dance music world agrees with them as the tune is already in the boxes of a wise cross section of DJ's from all genres.

Here are some of my picks for the year that passed..I had to restrain myself and so i went for everybody's favorite "top 10".
Some tracks did it for me because of their originality and boldness, some because of their dancefloor impact in my sets and others simply touched me very very much.
I think it was generally a very good year apart from some badly done gimmicks that will anyway not stand the test of time.
