Oh man what a great night. Tuesday with Joe Buck was fantastic. A big thanks to everybody that came out and a special thanks to the boys from Eden Crow for giving me something to laugh about.
What's that? Well, it goes like this:
After our set these two guys come up and ask me if I remember them. I check them out. While they don't look particularly familiar, they do look out of place in the crowd. They both have long stringy hair and one is wearing a cowboy hat. I say no and they are very surprised. "Are you sure you don't remember us?" I look closer. I still have no idea. Then they ask if I remember Eden Crow. Ah ha!
They proceed to tell me how uncool it was to poke fun at them TWO YEARS AGO when the old sinners lineup (Sean and Karle) played some lame battle of bands at Juanitas (we played because Juanita's didn't really want us any other way). While most of the things they remembered about what we had said were kinda skewed (it was a ford van, not a dodge) they still were REALLY tame comments. What DID we say?
well, I remember commenting on their tour bus, which they seemed to have driven 10 miles to get the show. what's that, like $30 in gas? I didn't even say anything bad, just "wow did you guys see that tour bus out there? I bet it has a PS2" (word for word). One of eden crow's members even heckled back and said "no just a nintendo" or something like that. Whatever else Karle and Sean may have said I can't recall and neither did anybody else.
I sat and listened as they whined about it for a while and I just let them. I mean, they had waited two years for this. When they were done, I told them that I was sorry if what I said offended them, but that as far as I was concerned good natured trash talking was just part of the business. As far as as what karle or sean had said, I told them they had waited too late to lecture them and I certainly wasn't responsible for them.
They eventually walked away still just as angry as they were when they came over. Man, how dissapointing that must have been. Anybody that calls himself "The Cowboy" should really be used to shit talk by now.

Dallas, TX February 16, 2006 Night
Josh the Devil and the Sinners' carriage careens to a stop on the sidewalk in front of the legendary Bar of Soap. Inside, the first person we meet is a man who introduces himself as Crazy. "C-R-A-Z-Y," he says. We don't argue. Two large bulldogs roam the premises. They would spill no blood this night.
We eat a hearty meal of delicious fried things at a restaurant situated down the street from a dinosaur. A tyrannosaurus rex, I believe. The t-rex could just have easily made a meal of us, but perhaps he knew there was a greater purpose behind our visit. Later, he would feast upon vegetarians and afficianados of techo music. They are part of the great circle of life now, weep not.
Back at the club, we find that the man behind the bar will trade us wonderful liquids for the beautiful slivers of crimson paper we possess. While it is difficult, at first, to divest ourselves of our tiny works of art, we soon find that it is a more than worthwhile endeavor. The liquids give all who ingest them feelings of goodwill and a desire for powerful music. The persons who have come to witness tonight's blessed event are many. They congregate amongst the clothes-washing devices and moving-picture games. Handsome men; women in frocks that bare the cleave of their bosom; lovely women of the state of Washington and Zimbabwe; persons with paintings carved into their flesh; all were there. All would learn.
The men who are called the Susans materialize on the stage, producing a pleasing sound for an undetermined period of time. Perhaps it still goes on, in the ether.
The time finally arrives for Josh the Devil and the Sinners to open the conduit between their world and the world of mortal man. Tales of hot-rod vans, tractor pulls, men-of-outer-space and death pour forth, drenching the attendees, whipping them into a frenzied, dervish-like state. For more than an hour, it continues. Finally, with all on the verge of physical and mental collapse, it comes to a glorious end. Josh the Devil and the Sinners have delivered their benediction. They have transformed lives. Given purpose to the aimless; blinded the lepers; slain the living and raised the dead, only to slay them again, for such is their will.
Josh the Devil and the Sinners would eventually take their leave of the throng, seeking refuge in an inn in the town of the Garlands. As the morning sun rose, Josh the Devil and the Sinners would begin the treacherous journey back to Akron, Ohio. Along the way, dragons were assaulted and gnomes of the earth kicked in the head. Some things were set afire. This is the way of Josh the Devil and the Sinners. And it is good.

more or less. great article on us hatemongers. (Here's the highlights)
"we didn't say anything about what Mike Adams and Hero9 were really up to, until THEY made it overwhelmingly clear that THEIR N.E.A. Music Fest was just a rally for hating Terry C**ksey. How was it made CLEAR? When they announced that one of the state's most vocal hate mongers was coming from North Little Rock to play. The band is Josh the Devil and the Sinners. The band is led by hatemonger Joshua Smith, who only cares about some psycho "bad boy" image to promote his trash-abilly band. Joshua Smith has stalked and harassed me for the past 15 months on the internet, violated our copyrights on numerous occasions, and stated from the very first attack against me that he and his brothers in hate will NOT tolerate Terry C**ksey posting anything on the internet that THEY do not agree with. And they have backed that threat up for the past 15 months with 1000s and 1000s of posts of lies and more lies about me and The LIGHT and other Jonesboro bands. I later found out that there were 2 reasons for this: 1) they didn't like me telling all the bands to "work harder, play harder music, drop the gimmicks and embrace digital technology". and my SECOND unforgivable sin was that I was from the SAME town of the band THEY assaulted one time, and another time threw a cup of piss on a Jonesboro band playing in Little Rock. And all Josh and his brothers in hate have done is laugh about it. Josh has a video on his site where he is playing a gig in Little Rock and toasts to he crowd and says "Here's to the Death of Terry C**ksey". And for those of you who do NOT know, this is the SAME EXACT stuff that was being done to us right before my step-mother and 3 other Jonesboro residents were brutally murdered in 1989."
