Okay, usually I’m REALLY picky about art...never liked modern art, abstract art, or anything like that. So I’m taking an Art Appreciation class right? The first thing our teacher said on the first day of the semester "By the end of this class you will appreciate all of the art that you hate right now." Yeah...sure...like I was gonna believe that. I’m only taking the class because I need more art credits and it was the easiest sounding class, and usually the first thing a teacher says on the first day is bullcrap...like "This will be an easy class, don’t worry" LIAR!!!!
Well...just my luck. I’m actually trying to find MEANING behind art that I used to HATE WITH A PASSION!!! a passion, people! Jackson Pollack is about the only artist that I dislike now...how insane is that?
My point? Go take an Art Appreciation class...it will fascinate you, inspire you, and you will appreciate art that you hate with a passion (Except paint that’s been splattered on a canvas...).
