This is a copy and paste from the bulletin that I've posted on the subject, but I thought that I would add it here as well.

Just thought that I would let everyone know that the book advertisement for Sun Signs for Writers by Bev Walton-Porter (my wife) is available for viewing on the front page of my profile.

If you are an author in need of a book advertisement, or if you have any other promotional video needs please feel free to contact me through my MySpace page for more information.

And yes, I still do illustration work. What can I say, I'm a man of many Hats.

As for me, I'm voteing for the man who can stay focused on the issues and can answer questions, not for the guy who's mind wanders and who just starts dropping buzz words as a substitute for real policy.

Category: Romance and Relationships
Hey folks, I'm getting married today. Still lots to do around the house to get ready so I need to keep this short, but the dress that our friend "M" made for Elemental Muse looks great and Elemental Muse looks beautiful and that's what needs to be mentioned here. There will be pictures posted later.

Thought you'd like to know.

Some of you may not have read Elemental Muse's blog (and you should, because she actually updates on a regular basis, unlike me,) but as I am sitting here at my job with nothing to do and the wireless connection seems to be working for a change, I just thought that I would take the time and let everyone know that Bev and I will be getting married in August.

We where afraid that we where going to have to wait until 2010, but things have worked out so that we will be able to get married this year. Our friend "M" will be custom sewing our wedding garb so it will look awesome.

The actual marriage will take place in a small, private ceremony; however, there will be a public ceremony held a few days later. we'll keep you posted about the date for the second ceremony when we finally get that locked down.

So, am I nervous? No. My feelings are that we are already married, we have been for a while. This just make it legal for the state.

Now, those of you who really know me already know I don't drink, ever. A few years ago I made a deal with myself that If I ever found a woman who was crazy, er, I mean brave enough to marry me I would drink one glass of champagne at our wedding. I figured I was safe. I mean, come on, I survived into my mid-30s without so much as a near miss; and then along comes Bev. We won't be having champagne however, we'll be having mead, so if you're on the fence as to whether or not you are going to attend, you should reconsider for no other reason that it will be the only time that you will see me drink an alcoholic beverage. This is a one-time-only event, folks.

And now it's time for me to go home. I hope all is well with you out there in radio land. Bye bye and buy bonds.

First of all, I wanted to thank every one who voted for me in the Predators and Editors poll for 2007. I finished in the top ten taking the undisputed 7th place spot out of a field of 23! I'm very happy about this, and very grateful to everyone who helped make it happen. I would also like to mention that IOHP member and all around stand up guy Kevin James Hurtack took 4th place, WAY TO GO KEVIN!!!

So, now I have a question for you. Would any one here buy tee shirts and mugs that featured my art? I've been kicking this idea around for a while, but I haven't taken the leap because the best way to do this quickly would be to go through a company like Cafe Press, but IOHP has had a CP store up for a while selling items with the IOHP logo on them and the sales have been less than brusque. The problem with CP and other print on demand outlets is that the price tends to be high for tee shirts. For IOHP our cost is $18.00 per shirt, so to make a profit we sell them for $20.00. Coffee mugs and beer steins are far more reasonable through CP, but all they have is white. CP also prints on their shirts via transfer, not screen-printing. This makes sense when you consider their business model, but the print isn't as durable as screen printing. I have both an IOHP tee and a mug, they both still look good, but the logo on the tee is starting to ware. They are definitely not machine dry. CP also doesn't offer black hoodies. I would like to go with screen printing, but that becomes problematic as I would need to buy whole print runs and then re-sell them myself to recoup my costs, but I would be able to sell black hoodies. Also, I would need to alter the way I draw a little since all of those itchy lines that I make would make cutting screens difficult.

I guess the question I'm asking is; if I put something like the pumpkin patch Illustration that is on my main page on a tee shirt (minus the IOHP Halloween greeting of course) would you buy it? Do you like my art enough to make the investment? Another friend of mine suggested that my art be collected into a book and sold. give me some feed back on this idea.

I will be posting new Illustrations soon, both here and on http://paulzuzust.deviantart.com, but let me know if there is anything that you think would look good in print if rendered in my style.

Once again, thanks to everyone who voted for me. Your support means the world to me!

P.S. Oh, I forgot to mention that I am working on a special illustration for my myspace friends. It will serve the same purpose as the thank you that we send out from IOHP, so you should see that showing up in your comments pretty soon!

Current mood:  exhausted
Start spreading the news. We're leaving, well, tomorrow. Yup, you guessed it. Elemental Muse and I are taking her son, Johnny Sorrow to New York so that he can attend NYU, Tisch School of the Arts. We will be driving out there, so if you don't hear from us for a while don't worry, we didn't accidentally leave the gas on and asphyxiate ourselves, we're just somewhere between Colorado Springs and Manhattan.

To all of you who have tried to get a hold of us recently, sorry if we didn't get back to you. This really is sort of a Hail Mary trip. We've had to scrape up a lot of money at the last minute that we didn't know we where going to need, and we've had to get the car as road worthy as we could get it. I still need to pack and get all of the dishes done so that they're not all sitting here covered in mold when we get back. While on the road I'll be trying to get some art work done as well, so wish me luck.

I've never been to New York, so I'm really exited to go. That said, I'm also looking forward to getting home and moving at a slower pace for a while.

To all IOHP Members; I haven't been able to get on to the Message boards for a little while, but I promise that as soon as we get back, and get some sleep, I'll head over there and see what's up.

Our good friend Moonwalker will be here house sitting the homestead while we are away, which is good, because the cats will engage in all manner of debauchery if left to their own devices for too long.

and that is that. Talk to everyone in a few days.
