Following the success of Reuben’s last release on sMACk “Coming Up” here is the next example of this young producers talent, and further evidence why Reuben is gaining massive support from around the globe.
To complement the original we have the Android Cartel work their magic with a trademark tech house remix, together with their conception of atmosphere and rhythm which has found a place amongst the biggest producer’s and DJ’s of modern dance music such as Luciano, Radio Slave, John Digweed, Steve Lawler, Ben Watt, Laurent Garnier, Carl Cox, Chris Fortier, Hernan Cattaneo, Chloe Harris and more!
Funk D’Void – “Really like both of them…”

Originally set up in 1994, Christian Smith’s Tronic label holds a special place in techno circles. A leading force in shaping a less purist techno sound Tronic was amongst the first labels to embrace sounds from house and techno to create records that DJ’s from both scenes would play; and so it is with excited expectation that Tronic makes its return.
With his first foray into house music back in 1990, Steve Mac has carved out an enviable career within the very top tier of the UK DJ’s and producers. From his work as The Rhythm Masters through to recent mainstream success with 3Beat, Cr2 and Toolroom and underground hits with Saved Records, Sci+Tec and Ovum, Steve has proved himself to be one of the best; reinvent his sound but remaining at the head of the scene.
After Sundown is shaping up to be one of the records of the Ibiza season. Endorsed by Pete Tong on Radio 1, this old school sounding house track is a departure from the futuristic techno usually found on Tronic. This release is all about the big tune attitude and there is no doubting the high-octane crowd impact of this rave-tastic party starter.
Fresh from lighting up releases on Sci+Tec, Rejected and Bedrock, Anton Pieete steps up to provide a masterful remix. Pitching the vibe perfectly so as to contrast against the mainroom drama of the original, Anton’s mix is centered on a slick groove of tight bass licks and razor sharp beats in between which slide shimmering stabs and phased strings

From his work as The Rhythm Masters through to more recent success with Cr2, Toolroom, Saved Records and Sci+Tec, Steve has proved himself to be one of the very best; reinventing his sound while remaining at the forefront of the scene.
Its time for Steve to return to house. Reminiscent of his work as the Rhythm Masters, 'Hear That' delivers fresh jackin flavour with a large dose of muscle. Heavy bassline and vocal stabs rule the roost on this monster! 'Hate' despite its vicious name, is a real low-slung, groove-lead, repetitive slab of atmo-house. Hypnotic beyond belief, this is one for all floors!
Steve is on such a prolific run right now, he is having the time of his life, and its showing in the great music that he keeps on delivering!
Christian Smith - "I'm big fan of Steve's music. super chunky house the way i like it." Laurent Garnier - "Steve is as funky as ever Full support as always!" Davide Squillace - "Good Job on Hear That Steve!" Joel Mull - "WOW STEVE! I can hear it... its getting louder...and i feel it!! Funky beats..." Adam Beyer - "2 good trax, will play and support." Built around a killer groove, open hats, and dramatic synths. 20% takes a whole different route. Tough house beats lead the way, backed by wonderful old skool samples, and the occasional warped horn section. Awesome stuff, and a truly wonderful release. Driven by a passion for electronic music in its most pure form, combined with an unhealthy obsession with the modern technology from which such music stems has resulted in fledging Letterkenny boy Reuben Keeney’s swift ascent to credibility within the European House and Techno Fraternity.
At the age of sixteen, Reuben defied the usual gimmicks associated with being in the position of a young DJ, indeed performing sets at the World’s most esteemed clubs, such as the hedonistic Ibizan sonforia, Amnesia, as well as playing gigs for brands such as Cream and Eden.
Not one to rest on his laurels, Reuben is constantly in the studio, firing on all cylinders, with upcoming releases on the Fergie-supported label, Monu Digital, as well as maintaining a healthy fanbase through his weekly ‘Localized Sounds’ radio show, on the internationally acclaimed DI.FM.
Coming Up is further evidence that Reuben is fast becoming a star and is set to rise further following this release on Steve Mac’s sMACk label.
Steve has given his mix more of a peak time feel, he has toughened it up slightly and made it a peak time record. Steve dropped his mix at matter London for Saved Sessions event a few weeks back and it tore the roof off. Steve Mac smacked in ya face true style!
