Hey there, kids. Sajak here. We just wanted to let you all know that we are back in full effect! We had some time off to rest during the long winter months, but like grizzly bears awakening from a long hibernation, we are stumbling out of our caves into the harsh sunlight of spring.
John said sayonara to his job out in the sticks and has moved back to the Twin Cities with a new outlook on life and a bunch of songs. Starting next week, Sajak will be hitting the ground running by dusting off the instruments and getting to work on brand new songs.
Look for some Sajak shows this summer! If you guys are lucky, you might see a new album before the end of the year.
Cheers, Quartknee SAJAK!

Last November, at the Umbrella Bed CD release show at the Triple Rock in Minneapolis, our friends Kabel and RJ (Small Kitchen Appliances) were kind enough to record our set. We have posted these recordings exclusively for our fans on myspace. If you were at that show, relive the magic. If you weren't, listen to what a Sajak show sounds like!
It's just like being there, except you aren't being served beer by Billy from D4.

Hey everyone! Just thought I would quick update. Since we released "Kick It Back To Health" last year, Sajak has written at least 7 new songs. We are planning on writing more before the year is up. What does this mean? A new Sajak album could be on the way soon.
Oh yeah, tune in to Rude Radio (770 AM Mpls-St Paul) on October 19th at 12 pm. We'll be debuting some of our new material live on-the-air!
November 8th, Triple Rock, be there. Umbrella Bed, coming off their European tour, are having their CD Release Party and you're invited. We'll be there!
Cheers, Quartknee

Greetings to all you myspace junkies! I figured I'd just let you people in on what our plans were for the fall. The last half of the summer, we were busy playing lots of Twin Cities area shows and hope you all got an opportunity to check us out. Everything from protesting the RNC to the annual Scooter Rally, from playing the playing at the Fox9 Battle of the Bands to playing SurlyFest last weekend. As a group, we will be turning our focus more towards writing, rehearsing, and recording, so we will be playing less shows than we have in the past months. Sajak will be looking deep into their record collections and learning from those that came before to bringforth a much improved, authentic ska sound. Lots of ideas, riffs, and horn lines have been floating around for the past year and plenty more to create...get excited. The goal of this endeavor is to not only create a worthwhile album that we can be proud of and that you will absolutely love, but to work on bringing you the best live performance possible. So needless to say, there won't be too many shows for the rest of 2008, but there will be much to look forward to. Cheer up, though, because we will be playing a big show in November at the Triple Rock to support our good friends and local ska legends Umbrella Bed at their CD Release Party. Part of the promo for that show will be hearing some live in-studio songs on Radio K (770 AM in minneapolis) on the Rude Radio show (Sundays 12pm - 2pm). Every Sunday in October will feature a different local MNSka band LIVE in the Radio K studio, kicking out exclusive songs. Featured bands will include 2 Tone Runts, Rocksteady Breakfast, Small Kitchen Appliances, and Sajak. The final Sunday prior to the show will feature the legends themselves, Umbrella Bed! Outside the big November show, look for a new unreleased track from Sajak to appear on the new MNSka compilation CD, which will be forthcoming. That's all I got for now. For all things MNSka, head to MNSka.com or check out the MNSka blog or the MNSka forum. Cheers, Quartknee
